Sonja Morgan has been on a comedy tour for several months now, and made a stop in Washington, D.C., on January 16, 2022. Phantom Presents: Sonja Morgan of the Real Housewives of New York City took place on Saturday night, and Morgan seemed to have a great time — calling it “fireworks” in an Instagram post that she shared post-show. The reality star had the help of an assistant whom she appears to have borrowed from “Real Housewives of Potomac” star Karen Huger. “Matt’s in the shadow. But he’s a trusty pal holding my phone & glasses so I don’t lose them. What a beautiful evening seeing everyone in D.C,” Morgan captioned a photo alongside Matt Byars. Indeed, Byars was holding two pairs of glasses — and Morgan’s phone in the snap. Many fans were quick to notice Byars, recognizing him from another franchise — and they were loving the crossover. Matt Nagy released a statement after being let go by the Chicago Bears on Monday. After four years at the helm, the Matt Nagy era of Chicago Bears football has come to an end. Nagy was fired on Black Monday after the 2021 Bears finished the season at 6-11. While this was his first losing season in Chicago, he only had one winning season on the job. Nagy went 12-4 in 2017 and won the NFC North. However, he went 8-8 the next two years. This put him on the hot seat entering this season. He leaves Chicago with a 34-31 record and an 0-2 mark in the playoffs. “To the Chicago Bears organization – It was an honor to serve as your Head Coach over the past four seasons. I want to thank Ted Phillips, George H. McCaskey and Mrs. Virginia McCaskey for the opportunity to lead one of the game’s most storied franchises. It’s four years I’ll always remember.” Statement from Matt Nagy: pic.twitter.com/PeGZTPlnh2 — Chicago Bears (@ChicagoBears) January 10, 2022 Matt Nagy releases statement after his Chicago...

Iowa State coach Matt Campbell made some incredibly weird comments during his Tuesday press conference. The Cyclones head coach was asked about how many had the goal of winning the Big 12 entering the season, and Campbell made it clear that was never his goal. He just wanted them to be the best team they could be! (RELATED: David Hookstead Is The True King In The North When It Comes To College Football) You probably think I’m being ridiculous because that’s an outrageous stance to have, but I can promise it’s very real. The Chicago Bears have some hot seats in the organization, but there’s still time to cool them off before heads roll in the offseason.  The Chicago Bears have reached their bye week sitting at 3-6 and third place in the NFC North. Although they are technically in the thick of a playoff birth with an extra wild-card spot up for grabs, they are just as close to being a bottom feeder in the NFL. Although the defense is in the top half of the league, the Bears’ offense is second-worst in total offense,  third-worst in points per game, and dead last in passing, It’s blatantly obvious that if things change, there is no way things can stay the same going into 2022.Bears: The clock is ticking for Matt Nagy and Ryan PaceIn the four seasons as the head coach of the Chicago Bears, Matt Nagy has regressed in each year since getting the job. The Bears won the NFC North in 2018 after an impressive 12-4 season, but has suffered a losing streak of at least four games in each...

Matt LaFleur shouldered the blame for the Green Bay Packers’ loss to the Kansas City Chiefs, even though it was out of his control. The Green Bay Packers have had themselves an eventful week after it was confirmed that quarterback Aaron Rodgers tested positive for COVID-19, is unvaccinated and would miss their game against the Kansas City Chiefs. That meant Jordan Love would get his first career start in a favorable matchup against the Chiefs’ struggling defense. On Sunday, the Packers fell to the Chiefs 13-7 in what was a rough game for both teams. MATT CROOKS dreams of becoming the second epileptic to play in the Premier League. Not that epilepsy has ever, or will ever, define the Middlesbrough star. 1Matt Crooks is aiming to be the Premier League's second-ever epileptic player everCredit: Getty Crooks, 27, was diagnosed with the condition after his first seizure aged 18 following a night out with his Huddersfield academy team-mates. In Scotland, at Rangers in 2017, he arrived at training after another night on the town but had run out of medication and missed his last two tablets. The next thing he remembered was Gers striker Kenny Miller’s face lighting up in front of him two hours later. That was Crooks’ last seizure — and the midfielder is now flying on the pitch after his summer move from Rotherham. Three wins have put Boro back in the promotion mix. And asked if the ambition is to become only the second epileptic, after Jay Bothroyd, to play in the top flight, Crooks said: “That would be good but I haven’t and absolutely won’t let it define me. “It’s something...
On the heels of the Chicago Bears’ biggest loss since 2014, the team’s COVID-19 outbreak has sidelined coach Matt Nagy. Nagy announced Monday morning he tested positive for the virus after returning home from Tampa, Fla., where the Bears were shellacked 38-3 on Sunday at Raymond James Stadium by the defending Super Bowl champion Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Special teams coordinator Chris Tabor will run all team meetings as he did briefly in the spring and as the Bears had planned in the event anything happened to Nagy. That leaves offensive coordinator Bill Lazor and defensive coordinator Sean Desai to continue in their roles uninterrupted. Four players are currently on the reserve/COVID-19 list: outside linebacker Robert Quinn, tight end Jimmy Graham, inside linebacker Caleb Johnson and offensive tackle Elijah Wilkinson. Running back Damien Williams and wide receivers coach Mike Furrey returned last week after being sidelined, meaning the Bears have had five players and two coaches dealing with COVID-19 in the last two weeks. “It’s a reminder to all of us to be extremely cautious to understand...

It looks like sex crimes and murder threats just don't open Republican wallets like they used to. Back in July, we learned that the joint promotional tour of Rep. Matt Gaetz (linked to a Florida sex trafficking operation that led to the indictment of a key ally) and Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (booted off all House committees by her fellow Republicans for promoting sedition-based violence) was hemorrhaging money, bringing in a mere $60,000 after spending $300,000 to get it. Now we know that it's not just their nationwide self-promotion jaunt that's bleeding money: Their overall campaigns aren't faring much better. Could it be that while their base, the frothingest far-right of the far-right, is willing to defend sex trafficking and violent rebellion, they're not willing to put their wallets where their mouths are? Maaaaaybe. A new Mother Jones report highlights the latest financial reports from the two campaigns, and none of it looks good. As for that joint promotional tour and PAC, Mother Jones reports that the latest filings show it to be "nearly broke," with only $13,000 left in...

Katie Couric wrote sympathetic texts to Matt Lauer after he had been fired for sexual misconduct including one that read: 'I love you and care about you deeply'. Just as it was revealed that Lauer had preyed on multiple female producers at NBC, Couric texted him 'I am crushed', in one of several messages she reproduces in her new memoir. In Going There, Couric explains that hosting Today with Lauer for nine years left her feeling sorry for him in spite of the appalling allegations. Getty Head coach Matt Nagy of the Chicago Bears is fresh from orchestrating one of the worst offensive performances in recent memory. Count former NFL quarterback Dan Orlovsky among those who have had enough of Chicago Bears head coach Matt Nagy. Orlovsky was active for 12 seasons in the NFL, from 2005-17, spending the bulk of his time with the Detroit Lions. Now an analyst for ESPN, Orlovsky has been critical of Nagy in the past for his handling of former QB Mitch Trubisky, and now he’s calling for Nagy to be fired after putting together one of the worst offensive performances in recent memory. Literally. In a 26-6 loss to the Cleveland Browns on September 26, the Bears averaged just 1.1 yards per play and the offense gained just 47 yards, the second-lowest net total of all-time for the franchise. Rookie QB Justin Fields was sacked nine times, and while he made plenty of mistakes, the primary of which was holding onto the ball too long, Nagy was panned in a big way after the loss to...

New York Giants: Matt Peart makes it off PUP list, will return to practice Cay North July 31, 2021 Share on facebook Facebook Share on twitter Twitter Share on reddit Reddit The New York Giants are concerned with an injury to Shane Lemieux at the moment, but a silver lining despite the current situation is that one key member of the offensive line should be coming back from the PUP list and ready to go next practice at training camp. Amanda Knox lashed out at the new Matt Damon film "Stillwater" — claiming the movie profits off her real-life struggle for a wrongful murder conviction. The 34-year-old lamented how her name continues to be associated with a killing she didn’t commit – and is now linked to a film she had no part in making. "Does my name belong to me?" she wrote in a Thursday tweet storm. "My face? What about my life? My story? Why does my name refer to events I had no hand in? I return to these questions because others continue to profit off my name, face & story without my consent. Most recently, the film #STILLWATER" Knox also took issue with the fictionalized character she now feels associated with because the film’s ending veers from actual events in a sinister twist. MATT DAMON'S ‘STILLWATER’ BANKING ON THEATERS-ONLY RELEASE Knox and Raffaele Sollecito were twice convicted and later acquitted in the 2007 killing of Knox’s roommate Meredith Kercher in Perugia, Italy. Although "Stillwater" largely fictionalizes the case, director Tom McCarthy has said Knox’s case inspired...

Visit Insider's homepage for more stories. The 2016 movie "The Great Wall" is widely known as a critically panned disaster. Even its leading Hollywood star, Matt Damon, knows it — and he was aware of how terrible the movie was going to be while shooting it. In an interview with Marc Maron's WTF Podcast (via The Hollywood Reporter), Damon explained that director Zhang Yimou was being pressured by the movie's Hollywood producers to alter the film and thus sacrifice what he envisioned for the story. "I was like, this is exactly how disasters happen," Damon said. "It doesn't cohere. It doesn't work as a movie." The Oscar-winning actor continued: "I came to consider that the definition of...
A press conference by Republican House members including Reps. Matt Gaetz (FL) and Marjorie Taylor Greene (GA) ended abruptly on Tuesday as protesters swarmed the scene. The event was held outside the Justice Department and centered on “demanding answers” from Attorney General Merrick Garland about the treatment of those who had been arrested in connection with January’s unrest in Washington, D.C. It was besieged from the start by a man loudly blowing a whistle as the members of  Congress attempted to speak. The man, standing just feet behind an apparent member of the media, persisted despite a confrontation with the hapless journalist, who pleaded with him to refrain. Her sister Ginger, a 26-year-old food analyst, got engaged to Gaetz this New Year's Eve at Mar-a-Lago, after eight months of dating. Roxanne said that she spent the summer of 2020 in Washington DC working as a White House intern, and was uncomfortable with Gaetz, 39, from the start. 'As someone who has personally experienced a ton of creepy old politician men hitting on me when I was underage, and experiencing sexual assault at that age by people of power, it's very disheartening,' she said. Secrets police THE Sun’s Matt Hancock scoop could not have been more squarely in the public interest. Here was the married Health Secretary snogging his lover in his office while hypocritically demanding the rest of the nation continued to socially distance. 1The Sun exposed Matt Hancock's affair last monthCredit: Reuters Hancock realised the game was up, quit and publicly apologised. And since both sides of the political divide — and Britain’s most senior lawyer, Lord Chancellor Robert Buckland — agree the story was in the public interest then by definition so was the leak of the CCTV which brought it to light. So it is monstrous that goons from the Government-backed Information Commissioner’s Office have raided two properties, seizing computers, hoping to identify the whistleblower. It is an outrageous abuse. A tactic designed to punish those who rightly came forward, and sure to deter others who might have evidence of another scandal of national importance. Let us remind the ICO of its official remit. It exists to “uphold information rights in the public interest” and “promote openness by public bodies”....
DEAREST Martha. Just over a week has passed since this newspaper broke the news of your husband’s infidelity, hypocrisy and supposed cronyism. But I suspect for you, time has been marching to a much slower beat.  2Matt Hancock's wife Martha seen outside the family home in London last weekCredit: Reuters You must feel as if you are wading through molasses, wondering if you will ever overcome the shock and heartache. And all the while you’re left juggling the bairns and trying to keep a decent face on so their lives are not further disrupted. I’m sure you’ve wanted to reach for the rosé at 9am on more than one occasion; been tempted to smash the picture frames documenting what you thought was your happy marriage; and felt inclined to sew prawn peelings into the hems of his work trousers. I feel for you. But also I rile against that need to put on a good show to the outside world, while inside you’re crumbling, full of rage and burning with jealousy. Time and time again, I see women in this...

THE fate of the nation does not rest on the result of England versus Germany tomorrow night, but the mood of the nation certainly does.  Around 20 million Brits will be watching. Some of those who are not will mutter, “It’s only a football match.” 8Tomorrow's match against Germany could buoy the nation, says Tony ParsonsCredit: PA And they will be right. But beating the real old enemy would be the shot in the arm our country so desperately craves and so badly needs.  Because right now the prevailing mood is less than glorious. Because right now it feels like the UK is a nation suffering from long Covid. The shaming of Health Secretary Matt Hancock has revealed a stinking hypocrisy at the heart of our Government. 8Matt Hancock affair caught in a clinch with aide and university friend Gina ColadangeloCredit: THE SUN When Hancock was caught with his metaphorical pants down, it proved that our rulers truly do think there is one set of rules for them and another for the rest of us.  The frustration and the...

“Here's a thought, congressman, how about you come down here and I shove this bottle of hand sanitizer so far up your *** you cough bubbles.” Florida Rep. Matt Gaetz has been trying very hard to shore up Republican base support in anticipation of possibly being indicted on federal sex trafficking charges, and that means Gaetz jumped at a chance to say the words criticalracetheory at Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Gen. Mark Milley. (Yeah, an alleged sex trafficker who's been exposed as part of a sex crimes ring is on the House Armed Services Committee. Republicanism!) Gaetz, along with fellow Florida accomplice Rep. Mike Waltz, wants to know if anybody at West Point has been teaching our timid and impressionable young officers about criticalracetheory, which Republicans at this point evidently believe is some sort of airborne illness, because teaching cadets this thing that nobody but a bare handful of graduate students and law schools have even heard of before it became the newest propaganda buzzword among trickle-down sex traffickers would be very, very bad. A much worse thing than,...

Matt Dürt was joking when he told the doctor his mom was a potential surrogate for his baby. Dürt and his husband, Elliot, had just learned the friend they'd originally selected as the carrier wasn't a good candidate, so Matt offered up his mother for comedic relief.  The doctor didn't laugh. She asked: "Is she healthy? Does she have a uterus?" Yes. Plus, Matthew's mom, Cecile Eledge, had offered in earnest.  So in 2019 at age 61, Eledge became the oldest woman in the US to give birth, delivering a healthy baby girl — her granddaughter, Uma — who'd been...
