A former senior aide to President Barack Obama condemned Sen. Kyrsten Sinema as 'a c***' during a foul-mouthed appearance on a leftwing podcast. Alyssa Mastromonaco took aim at the Arizona senator for announcing that she could not support a filibuster carve-out in order to pass voting rights legislative - just before President Joe Biden met with Democrats to make one last appeal for their support. While Sinema has attracted the anger of Democrats from all parts of the party, no one has gone quite as far as Mastromonaco, 45, who was deputy chief of staff in the Obama White House.  She told the Pod Save America podcast recently that she had 'real issues' with Sinema. 'And I think in her speech, she talks about the disease of division,' she said 'Um, also you guys, she gave the speech as Joe Biden was on her way up to the Hill.  'So anyway, it's the s***tiest grossest, like most disrespectful thing she could have done. The international aid organization Open Doors ranked Afghanistan the worst place in the world for Christians in 2021 on its World Watch List published this week, the first time the country appears at the top of the list and the first time in 20 years that Open Doors does not issue North Korea that distinction. Open Doors CEO David Curry told Breitbart News in an interview this week that Christian persecution actually increased in North Korea this year even as it dropped a spot to number two on the list, but the threat that the return of the Taliban poses to Christians in Afghanistan is so great that it dwarfed the growing repression in North Korea. The Taliban, a Sunni jihadist terrorist organization, became the de facto government of Afghanistan on August 15, 2021, after President Joe Biden announced he would violate an agreement with the group and extend the 20-year Afghan War past its May deadline into September. Biden again amended that deadline out of September and into August. In the months between May and August, Taliban terrorists swept...
On Saturday, a 44-year-old British citizen named Malik Faisal Akram held four Jews hostage for more than ten hours at Congregation Beth Israel in Colleyville, Texas.  The first few hours of the crisis were livestreamed on the synagogue's website, the confluence of Covid, zoom services, and partial remote attendance of the bar mitzvah held in the synagogue.  Despite this live window into the afternoon's events, there is still much we don't know. But there are a few things we do know. We know that the assailant was seeking to release Aafia Siddiqui, a Pakistani national who is serving an 86-year sentence in Texas.  Siddiqui was convicted in 2010 for multiple chargers, including attempted murder and armed assault on US officers in Afghanistan. During her trial, she demanded the jurors be genetically tested to ensure none of them were Zionists. We also know that one month ago, Zahra Billoo, an executive director of CAIR, the Council on American-Islamic Relations gave a speech in which she said that Zionist synagogues and most major Jewish organizations were responsible for both Islamaphobia and various...
Getty Denver Broncos cornerback Patrick Surtain II celebrates after getting an interception. The Denver Broncos rookie class received some recognition on Thursday. Pro Football Focus released an article ranking the top draft classes from the 2021 NFL draft, and the Broncos’ class was ranked second overall. Trevor Sikkema of PFF commended the depth of the Broncos’ draft class: The depth of the Broncos’ class is what really sets it apart. The team was able to get really strong contributors at four different positions, with the highest grades coming from Javonte Williams and interior offensive lineman Quinn Meinerz (67.4). Cornerback Patrick Surtain II recorded a 65.5 overall grade on the season, which is lower than you would expect, but his tape is incredibly encouraging. The Kansas City Chiefs claimed the top spot in the rankings with center Creed Humphrey recording PFF’s highest grade among all NFL centers this season. Founded in 1910 as a small millinery business in Paris, Chanel has evolved into one of the recognisable names in fashion.  Named after couturière Coco Chanel, the company is owned by Alain and Gérard Wertheimer, the grandsons of Chanel's early business partner Pierre, and remains a tightly controlled family business.  But now the duo have handed over the day-to-day operations to a rare outsider, London-based businesswoman Leena Nair, who will take over as global CEO after stepping down as Chief Human Resources Officer at Unilever. She was the first woman, first Asian and youngest ever person to hold the role.  The appointment of Indian-born businesswoman Leena, 52, has been praised as a landmark for diversity within the industry and marks the latest step in a remarkable career for Nair, an engineering graduate who worked her way up the ranks of Unilever after starting her career in the company's factories.  Pioneer: Leena Nair, pictured, will take over as global CEO of Chanel after stepping down as Chief Human Resources Officer at Unilever Fashion forward: Gigi Hadid, centre, with models on the Chanel catwalk...
There’s a pyramid of power on every sports team’s roster, a hierarchy that brings influence and respect to those that sit at the top. Even though Xavien Howard is the Miami Dolphins’ only Pro Bowl selection for the 2021 season, there’s quite a few players on the roster who are having outstanding seasons — and many of them are first or second-year players. Here’s a look at the top 10 Dolphins players based on contributions made to the team this season. 1. Cornerback Xavien Howard: The three-time Pro Bowl player takes on the toughest assignment just about every week, covering the opposition’s best receiver. While he’s not exactly a lock-down cornerback — and has allowed his share of touchdowns this season — his knack for delivering turnovers (four interceptions, two forced fumbles, two fumbles recovered and one returned for a touchdown) makes him one of the NFL’s elite defenders, a playmaker quarterbacks try to avoid. Since entering the NFL in 2016, Howard leads the NFL with 26 interceptions. While this season might not have him in the...
When it comes to those who give and those in need, Maryland stands toward the top of both lists. In a WalletHub Survey, Maryland came in second for most charitable states, second only to Utah. That includes things, such as “volunteering and service and charitable monetary giving as well,” WalletHub Analyst Jill Gonzales said. The survey considered some 20 different metrics, ranging from volunteer rates to the share of population collecting and distributing food or clothes or fundraising. It also looked at the share of income donated, the number of public charities per capita, charity regulations, and food banks and shelters per capita. Virginia was also in the top 10 for charitable giving at seventh place. While Maryland has a charitable heart, one of its cities comes in toward the top of the list of neediest cities in America. “Baltimore is in the top 10 as far as neediest cities that we ranked,” Gonzales said. It ranks eighth in the country overall in a two focus point surveys of economic well being and health and safety. “When it comes to...

Rep. Alan Lowenthal announced Thursday that he will not seek reelection next year, becoming the latest House Democrat to announce he will retire ahead of an election cycle projected to favor Republicans. The California Democrat, 80, said in a statement that “just as every journey has a beginning, so too does it have an end.” 'I TOTALLY GOT F***ED' IN REDISTRICTING,' HOUSE DEMOCRAT GRIPES “I am announcing today that I will not be running for reelection to Congress in 2022,” Lowenthal wrote. “It is time to pass the baton. It is time to rest and surround myself with the benefits of a life well-lived and earned honorably in the service of my fellow citizens.” Lowenthal was first elected to represent California's 47th District in 2012. He previously served in the Long Beach City Council and as a California assemblyman. In a statement, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, a fellow California Democrat, said he “has devoted his entire life to protecting our planet and lifting up his beloved southern California community.” “After a decade in the...
President Joe Biden’s decision to remove the Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia (FARC) from the U.S. list of Foreign Terrorist Organizations this week will help still-active guerrilla fighters “fill the ranks,” the executive director of the Center for a Secure Free Society (SFS), Joseph Humire, told Breitbart News this week. Humire, an expert on terrorist threats in Latin America, described the decision as a “mistake” that will help legitimize both the FARC and “their enablers in Venezuela, the Maduro regime.” The FARC is a nearly 60-year-old communist narco-terrorist organization responsible for a war that has killed hundreds of thousands of people. The group is responsible for a long list of actions that fit the legal definition of crimes against humanity, including mass killings, abductions, use of child soldiers, forced abortions, and systematic sexual crimes against minors. Documented evidence has revealed close ties between the FARC leadership and Nicolás Maduro’s socialist regime in Venezuela, Iran and its terror proxy Hezbollah, and a variety of nefarious drug trafficking operations throughout the Americas. The Biden State Department’s announcement that it would remove the...
GOP Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy's dreams of one day becoming speaker of the House are going up in flames as the Republican caucus devolves into a raging inferno of internecine guerrilla warfare. Specifically, House GOP radicals have turned caucus politics into an unsightly brawl more resembling the kicking, screaming, hair pulling, and spitting of a middle-school rivalry than the growing pains of major political party plotting its path to renewed relevance. No one is more central to this uniquely embarrassing GOP drama than McCarthy, who has turned spinelessness into an ethic in his quest for power. McCarthy's moral deficit has left any members of the GOP conference who still possess a shred of integrity to condemn the actions of the extremists putting the lives of both their GOP colleagues and Democratic counterparts at risk. It started last month with McCarthy allowing Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene of Georgia to target as "traitors" the 13 House Republicans who voted for a bipartisan infrastructure bill supported by nearly two-thirds of the country. Egged on by Greene & Co., death threats ensued, but...
Representative Mark Green (R-TN), a retired U.S. Army major, appeared on Fox News Channel’s “The Ingraham Angle” on Thursday to commemorate the Veterans Day holiday. However, he also warned of problems within the ranks of the U.S. military as the political leadership in the Pentagon is putting a focus on so-called anthropogenic climate change and “extremism,” which the Tennessee Republican said was “demoralizing” the troops. “The number one priority at the Pentagon is climate change and extremism in the ranks,” Green said. “And America’s military is a reflection of our society. There are people who get into the military who have views that reflect our society. But the degree to which they’re emphasizing this is absurd. And it actually is demoralizing to the troops who raised their right hand and decided to come and defend our country. They are being asked invasive questions that they have no business asking. It’s just crazy.” Follow Jeff Poor on Twitter @jeff_poor
Google parent company Alphabet Inc. briefly hit a $2trillion market cap for the first time on Monday joining the ranks of tech giants Apple and Microsoft. Analysts say the $2trillion milestone — which is double the company's pre-pandemic value of $1trillion in January 2020 — is fueled by an increase in digital ad spending and growth in the Google Cloud platform.    'It's just a number, but I think it demonstrates that these are leading companies,' Kim Forrest, founder and chief investment officer at Bokeh Capital Partners, told Bloomberg.  'It really is that simple — that the market rewards their growth, and their prospects for growth, with big valuations.'  The milestone market cap puts Alphabet into the same bracket as Apple Inc. and Microsoft Inc., which hit a $2trillion value in August 2020 and June 2021 respectively.    Google parent company Alphabet Inc. hit a $2trillion market cap for the first time on Monday joining the ranks of tech giants Apple and Microsoft Alphabet crept over the $2trillion mark Monday after its Class A shares gained as much as 1.2 percent, hitting an all-time high...
DENVER (CBS4) – Colorado leaders are sounding the alarm about rising COVID-19 cases and hospitalizations. On Tuesday, Gov. That 80% comes from about 20% of the population. So, the effect is even far greater than that,” Polis said. “The Delta variant is brutally effective at seeking...

The brisk February air that Monday morning was quite familiar to Brigham, a Massachusetts native who wrestled throughout New England for six years as Christian Casanova. And as the clock struck nine and he settled into his coach seat on the American Airlines jet, Brigham understood the opportunity in front of him. In his luggage, he carried hopes and dreams of a career in WWE. MONTREAL — Sharks forward Evander Kane was given a 21-game suspension by the NHL on Monday for submitting a fake COVID-19 vaccination card. But it is hardly the first suspension he’s had since he joined the Sharks in Feb. 2018. In April 2018, he was suspended one game for cross-checking Pierre-Edouard Bellemare of the Vegas Golden Knights during the two team’s playoff series that year. Before the start of the 2019-2020 season, Kane was suspended for violating Rule 40.4 (Physical Abuse of Officials) during a preseason game against the Vegas Golden Knights. In Feb. 2020, he was suspended three games for elbowing Neal Pionk of the Winnipeg Jets. Colin Powell has died at age 84, his family announced Colin Powell, the Harlem-born son of Jamaican immigrants who was awarded military honors for saving fellow soldiers from a burning helicopter crash and went on to become the first black Secretary of State, has died at age 84. He was fully vaccinated but died of COVID-19 complications, his family announced on Facebook.  'General Colin L. Powell, former U.S. Secretary of State and Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, passed away this morning due to complications from Covid 19. He was fully vaccinated. Davidson  With rankings near the bottom in five key categories, Ohio stands as one of the least safe states during the COVID-19 pandemic, according to a recently released report. WalletHub, a personal finance website, ranked Ohio the fifth-least safe state in the nation based on data from five key areas, including COVID-19 transmission, positive tests, hospitalizations, deaths and the percentage of the eligible population vaccinated. Ohio’s highest ranking was in transmission rate, which still ranked 35th. Its death rate was 41st, while vaccination rate (42nd), positive test rate (43rd) and hospitalization rate (44th) were among the worst in the country. “Ohio is the fifth-least safe state during COVID-19. A Tony-winning Broadway star and more celebs with milestone birthdays in October 2021 How to Stop Living Paycheck to Paycheck in 8 Steps LAS VEGAS — It’s become fashionable to look down one’s nose at modern boxers and say there’s no comparison between them and the legends of the past. And while that may largely be true, it is decidedly untrue when we’re discussing one Tyson Luke Fury. What heavyweight in history are you certain would beat this 6-foot-9, 277-pound hulk of a man, who has an uncanny boxing ability, a heart to match his 81-inch frame and an awkward style that is impossible to figure out? It’s too early in his career and he has too many big fights ahead of him to slap him at the top. But Fury definitely deserves to be in the talks as one of the greatest big men in the sport’s long and sometimes glorious history. Finding the right financial advisor to help with your financial needs and goals can be complicated. There are so many things to consider. Every financial advisor has his or her own area of expertise. The services provided by financial advisors will vary based on the type of advisor, but overall, a financial advisor will assess your current financial situation — including your assets, debts and expenses — and identify areas for improvement. A good financial advisor will ask you about your goals and create a plan to help you reach them. That may mean discussing your budget, retirement planning, estate planning, insurance needs or tax strategies. An advisor can play a major role in helping clients grow and protect their wealth. The key is to find an advisor you trust, and it's important to make sure he or she is someone who is a good match for you. New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio has launched an investigation after a hack on far-right group the Oath Keepers reportedly revealed it has two active NYPD cops and three New York public officials on its books.  The investigation takes place after an anonymous hacker shared what they claim are emails and membership data from the extremist militia group, who were present at the storming of the U.S. Capitol on January 6th. Eighteen Oath Keeper members have since faced charges from the Capitol riot. The far-right group's records were sent to a transparency nonprofit group known as Distributed Denial of Secret (DDoSecrets), which shares data leaks with journalists and researchers, and posted online Monday. A Pennsylvania town has ranked among the 50 best places to live in the United States, according to a new report. Lower Merion Township, located in Montgomery County, was ranked No. 37 in this year's list of the 50 Best Places to Live in the U.S., curated by Money.com. Located along the Pennsylvania Railroad’s old Main Line route, Lower Merion pays homage to its Welsh Quaker roots in the names of the villages that make up the township: Bryn Mawr, Gladwyne, and Bala Cynwyd. Residents and visitors can explore art and history by walking the grounds of the historic Barnes House, traveling to the Barnes Foundation in Philadelphia to view the art collection, or attending the Ardmore Rock 'N Ride, an all-day block party, the website says. Lower Merion High School, which is the late Kobe Bryant’s alma mater, is considered one of the best in the state. Bryn Mawr College, Rosemont College, and Haverford College (partly in Lower Merion) are also in the Philadelphia suburb. The mere idea of trying to rank the greatest “games of the century” doesn’t make sense, which makes it perfect for college football. The national champion, after all, for decades was determined by educated guess, which meant there could be multiple games deemed once-in-lifetime events played within a span of just a few years. But the infrequency of games pitting the best in the country made those occasions feel momentous. Finally, a definitive answer to college football’s most essential question: Who’s No. 1? “That was the closest thing we had to an actual resolution in college football. Otherwise it was just the polls,” said journalist Michael Weinreb, author of “Season of Saturdays: A History of College Football in 14 Games.” The Bowl Championship Series eventually created a 1 vs. 2 title game to end the season. The College Football Playoff has taken it a step further with a four-team format. When the CFP inevitably grows again, the Game of the Century will become extinct. “We were all sort of agitating for this stuff and now that it’s here...
(CNN)Democratic leaders are actively discussing attaching an increase to the national debt limit onto a must-pass spending bill to keep the government open, setting up an end-of-the-month partisan standoff with Republicans on the eve of a key deadline to keep federal agencies operating. What's still unknown: What will happen next if Republicans block that plan. And that's causing anxiety in the Democratic ranks with the full faith-and-credit of the United States hanging in the balance ahead of a potential debt default next month. "Yes, very much so," said Sen. Tammy Duckworth, an Illinois Democrat, when asked Wednesday if she was concerned about the staring contest between the two sides. "I wish that we would just stop playing this game and get on with the work for the American people." Democratic leaders say no final decisions have been made about their next steps. But in private discussions this week between senior Democratic aides and among top senators, the prospect of setting up a showdown vote on the eve of the September 30 deadline seems increasingly likely, according to multiple Democratic sources....

Alabama is still the top-ranked team in all of college football. Venezuela is no longer the third country with the highest adoption of bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies. This is established by the research firm Chainalysis, which now places the South American country in seventh place among more than 150 countries studied. The change in the country’s position in the index is reflected in an extract from the firm’s geographic cryptocurrency report, the full version of which will be published in September. The index measures three aspects of the use of cryptocurrencies to define adoption in each country: the value of transactions received in general, the value of transactions in retail and the volume of exchange in P2P exchanges. Venezuela ranks seventh globally in adoption, but it is sixth in terms of P2P trade volumes, two places behind its second place in 2020. Although Chainalysis does not expose the exchanges taken into account, it is possible that the drop is due to the decrease of the trade in LocalBitcoins. Meanwhile, testimonies from Venezuelans point to a clear growth in Binance’s P2P, as reported by CriptoNoticias. However, the volumes on this platform are...
