PITTSBURGH (KDKA) — We survived the big snow of 2022. While I am mostly kidding, it honestly isn’t every year that we see a snowstorm with more than 7” of snow falling. Pittsburgh Steelers co-owner Thomas Tull is buying up thousands of acres of land in eastern Idaho in what is being deemed a land grab by some local residents. Tull, a billionaire entrepreneur, and entities linked to him have purchased more than 7,000 acres in the Teton Valley, the Wall Street Journal reported. Several neighbors have raised complaints about increased truck traffic in the rural community located south of Yellowstone National Park, arguing the development of the land has scared off wildlife. "It's been nine months since we've seen elk or moose," Anne Callison, who lives near Tull's property, told the outlet. The AFC playoffs will be running through Music City, and the Tennessee Titans should have Derrick Henry back for their first game this postseason. The Tennessee Titans, who used an NFL-high 91 players — the most ever in a non-strike season — clinched their first No. 1 seed since 2008 and their third overall. They needed only a win Sunday, though they made it interesting before holding off the Houston Texans 28-25 to clinch the AFC’s top spot. Titans coach Mike Vrabel noted nobody hands out T-shirts and hats for clinching the top seed. “We understand we’re in the Elite Eight,” Vrabel said. “We’ve moved on to the second round of the playoffs without having to play a playoff game.” This postseason will feature seven teams that missed the playoffs last season: the Arizona Cardinals, Cincinnati Bengals, Dallas Cowboys, Las Vegas Raiders, New England Patriots, Philadelphia Eagles and San Francisco 49ers. The Raiders earned the final berth Sunday night with a 35-32 victory over the Los Angeles Chargers on Daniel Carlson’s 47-yard field goal as overtime expired. If the teams...

Steelers wide receiver Chase Claypool gave fans a taste of the locker room festivities after Pittsburgh beat the Ravens to keep their playoff hopes alive. The Pittsburgh Steelers may not have been eliminated from the playoffs going into the final week of the season, but it certainly looked unlikely they’d see the postseason. Then something unexpected happened. The Jaguars shocked the Colts and the Steelers outlasted the Ravens in overtime to all but punch their ticket. All that’s left is for the Chargers-Raiders game on Sunday evening to not end in a tie. Players and coaches for Pittsburgh were ecstatic over the victory, including wide receiver Chase Claypool, who opened up an Instagram Live from inside the locker room. Kicker Chris Boswell hit a 38-yard field goal late in overtime to lift the Pittsburgh Steelers to a 16-13 win in Baltimore, ending the Ravens’ season and likely sending quarterback Ben Roethlisberger into the playoffs in what’s expected to be his final season. On a crucial fourth-and-8 play with less than three minutes remaining in overtime, Roethlisberger found wide receiver Ray-Ray McCloud open over the middle for a 10-yard completion. A 15-yard run by rookie running back Najee Harris two plays later set the Steelers up for Boswell’s game-winning kick and capped the 11th game-winning drive of Roethlisberger’s career. He finished 30-for-44 for 244 yards, one touchdown and an interception. The loss was the Ravens’ sixth straight and doomed their somewhat reinvigorated playoff hopes. With the Indianapolis Colts’ stunning loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars, the Ravens needed only to win and get two more results in Sunday’s later games — a New England Patriots win over the Miami Dolphins and a Las Vegas Raiders win over the Los Angeles Chargers in prime time — to defy their minuscule...

Here’s how The Baltimore Sun sports staff views the outcome of Sunday afternoon’s Week 18 game between the Ravens (8-8) and Pittsburgh Steelers (8-7-1) at M&T Bank Stadium: Jonas Shaffer, reporter Ravens 21, Steelers 20: The Ravens can’t lose six games in a row … can they? Don’t let all the pomp and circumstance of Ben Roethlisberger’s grand finale deceive you; this is still a mediocre Pittsburgh team, probably the worst opponent the Ravens have faced since their losing streak started in Pittsburgh. On offense, Tyler Huntley has the kind of quick-hitting approach that can limit T.J. Watt’s impact. On defense, the Ravens have the front to hamstring the Steelers’ running game. Diontae Johnson’s return could loom large for Pittsburgh, but this feels like a a game where the Ravens’ luck starts to turn. Mike Preston, columnist Ravens 20, Steelers 17: Pittsburgh has the second-worst rush defense in the league, allowing 139.6 yards per game, so the Ravens need to pound the ball and stick with it. The Steelers, meanwhile, will likely go no-huddle from the start after it caused...
