Alec Baldwin shared a very faith-based post with his followers days after turning in his cellphone to authorities as he continues to seek guidance from spiritual leaders.  The actor, 63, took to Instagram early on Wednesday where he shared an image of light in his bathroom reflecting on the marble counter as a rainbow. He captioned the post with a lengthy musing on the nature of quiet in an otherwise "noisy" world.  "My favorite part of the day is early in the morning when I get up before anyone else and the house is totally silent. I spend that time with God, and I find that the silence strengthens me and helps me get focused for the day. I spend some time just sitting and enjoying it," he wrote.  ALEC BALDWIN'S CELL PHONE REQUESTED BY NEW SEARCH WARRANT IN 'RUST' SHOOTING INVESTIGATION Alec Baldwin is getting spiritual in 2022.  (Dimitrios Kambouris/Getty Images) He continued: "Our world today is very noisy, busy, and at times very stressful. Trisha Yearwood celebrated what would have been Betty White’s 100th birthday by raising money for animals in the late star’s honor.  The singer, author and wife of Garth Brooks hosted a fundraiser on TalkShopLive Monday, Jan. 17, which would have marked White’s 100th birthday had she not died of natural causes on Dec. 31. In light of the event, Yearwood and several others participated in the Betty White Challenge, in which people were encouraged to donate whatever they could to animal welfare organizations en masse in her honor.  White was a staunch advocate for animals in her life, so Yearwood and others felt it was an appropriate way to honor her following her death. When the roughly 18-minute live broadcast was said and done, Yearwood revealed on Twitter that about $30,000 was raised for the pet rescue organization Dottie’s Yard. They see a winter wonderland and want to run and have fun on it and they get over-committed and fall in and then we have to go out and do a rescue,” said South Metro Fire Rescue firefighter engineer Corey Sutton. A California appellate court has ruled that two Los Angeles police officers were properly fired for playing Pokémon Go instead of responding to a robbery. The court ruled on Friday that the LAPD was justified in firing Louis Lozano and Eric Mitchell for misconduct in 2017, the Sacramento Bee reported Monday. On April 15, 2017, a video system in their patrol car captured the officers discussing how to catch a Snorlax and trying to capture the rare Togetic in the game while ignoring a report of several people who were in the process of robbing a Macy’s in the Crenshaw area, according to the ruling. MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) — The Mike Zimmer era is officially over in Minnesota. The Vikings fired their head coach of eight years Monday, along with general manager Rick Spielman. In 2020, he was promoted to co-defensive coordinator, then again in 2021 to assistant head coach. A New York Times TV critic complained that too many of today's sitcoms do not include COVID-19 in their plotlines. Some of the most popular shows on TV or streaming services have not written in the pandemic, or have included it only to eventually write it out of their scripts. Why, for instance, aren't Carrie Bradshaw and company wearing masks while dining in crowded restaurants in the "Sex and the City" reboot "Just Like That," the New York Times's James Poniewozik asked in a recent piece.  "And just like that … Covid is over. At least it is in this show’s Manhattan, as well as in a cohort of other series that try, wishfully, to press the epidemiological fast-forward button," Poniewozik wrote in his Friday piece. CDC DIRECTOR WALENSKY FAILS TO DISCLOSE HOW MANY DEATHS WERE ‘FROM’ COVID: ‘DATA WILL BE FORTHCOMING’ He referenced several other shows that he suggested "wished" away the pandemic, such as "This Is Us." The hit NBC drama incorporated the pandemic in its fifth season, but appeared to abandon it in last week's season six...
