The Kansas basketball Twitter account tweeted out pure unadulterated sadness at halftime. Kansas basketball fans are having a bad time down 15 to North Carolina at halftime of the national championship. The Jayhawks were playing some terrific basketball heading into the national title bout. Though they had their issues in the first half vs. Miami in the Elite Eight, they surged past the Hurricanes to cut down the nets. After crushing a depleted Villanova team in the Final Four, it seemed like Kansas would be on Easy Street down in The Big Easy. Well, it was a Brady Manek Monday night. Ladies and gentlemen, the saddest of sad tweets from an official team account at halftime ever. Work to do. pic.twitter.com/NTZkcOP6qc — Kansas Men’s Basketball (@KUHoops) April 5, 2022 Kansas basketball Twitter account is not in a good mood right now Not going to lie, North Carolina being up 15 at the half is quite shocking. Clearly, the idea that they could not sustain the emotional momentum after retiring Coach K was massively overplayed. North Carolina is taking advantage of every opportunity in...

Photo by Justin Sullivan/Getty Images. While many Americans were likely enjoying the old Sunday, fun day by binge-watching the NFL Red Zone on the first full day of the 2021-22 NFL season, House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy was Tweeting about vaccine mandates, in a remarkably pithy manner. “NO VACCINE MANDATES” McCarthy Tweeted Sunday afternoon, which can be interpreted as a three-word missive to fellow members of his Republican caucus to focus on President Joe Biden’s recent speech announcing a new vaccine policy for business with 100 or more employees designed to abate the still very deadly Covid-19 pandemic. McCarthy tweeted: NO VACCINE MANDATES. — Kevin McCarthy (@GOPLeader) September 12, 2021 Biden’s new policy that requires companies to have their employees get vaccinated or opt for weekly testing comes when Covid-19 cases and deaths are still spiking. The vast majority of Covid-related hospitalizations and deaths are unvaccinated patients, like, 99 out of 100. But, the idea of mandating vaccines (which is not exactly correct given the weekly Covid test option for those opposed) is clearly a wedge issue that...
(CBSNewYork)- Mets ace Jacob deGrom made a rehab start on Thursday night for the team’s Low-A affiliate, the Port St. Lucie Mets against the Palm Beach Cardinals. As you’d probably expect from a pitcher of deGrom’s caliber, the opposing hitters couldn’t really touch him as he struck out eight across three innings allowing no hits or walks in just 41 pitches. The players in Low-A are often just starting their career so it’s not surprising that deGrom was overpowering. The Cardinals’ social media team had some fun with it though taking to Twitter asking for help. Laura Loomer's unlikely path to a Republican nomination for Congress includes three arrests for media stunts, being banned from major social media platforms, her bank account frozen for what was deemed anti-Muslim hate speech, her green Audi Q5 egged and a stalker who is a registered sex offender.   She's also received countless death threats and faces a barrage of outlandish rumors, including that she underwent gender reassignment surgery or that she's on the payroll of the Mossad the Israeli intelligence service.  But if she beats out four-term incumbent Democrat Lois Frankel in Florida's battleground of District 21, the 27-year-old would also be the youngest person ever elected to the U.S. House of Representatives.  While the best-known facts about Loomer are the outrageous and often offensive things she says – like describing Islam as 'a cancer on humanity' – few know about Loomer's private life.  In an exclusive interview, Loomer invited DailyMail.com to her one-bedroom beachfront condo for a far-reaching interview, touching on a slew of topics, many of them personal. She described fondly how her mother immigrated from England and wasn't a citizen...

Just hackers burning up 0day like it’s a fire sale Imagine getting the keys to the Twitter kingdom — access to all the account admin panels in the world. What would you do? You could grab high-value accounts and sell them on the black market. You could extract unimaginably valuable blackmail material from DMs. Or maybe you’d wait until an event like the upcoming US election to launch an evil plan of some kind. But if you’re any kind of seasoned attacker, you wouldn’t blow your own cover by tweeting from the world’s biggest accounts — for a bitcoin scam. Sure, some have posited that the cryptocurrency spam tweets were a distraction for something bigger going on in the background. Maybe the attackers already did their sneaky stuff and are ready to do what’s called “burning your 0day.” And boy, did they burn that perfectly good 0day hot, bright, and fast. We detected what we believe to be a coordinated social engineering attack by people who successfully targeted some of our employees with access to internal systems and...
AN online conspiracy theory speculates that Jeffrey Epstein's pal Ghislaine Maxwell may have owned powerful Reddit handle that "posted about legalizing child porn." YouTuber Joe Leonard tweeted about the unproven theory that an account named “u/maxwellhill” was run by Maxwell. 5 Ghislaine Maxwell was friends with Jeffrey EpsteinCredit: Getty Images - Getty 5 Joe Leonard posted the theory on Twitter He wrote: "Ghislane Maxwell was the first person on reddit to hit 1 million karma LMAO! She's the #8 karma to this day. Her posts to /r/worldnews constituted roughly 30% of the posts there. "This connection was made after she was arrested and that account stopped posting there after 14 years." Karma points document the level of interactions between reddit accounts. Twitter users have noticed the "u/maxwellhill" account has fallen silent since Mawell's incarceration on July 2. Leonard also tied the username to someone who published a thread titled "Falkvinge: Three strong reasons child porn must be re-legalized in the coming decade." The user also replied to a detailed baby rape passage stating initially "Holy c**p - fudgeman - whatever it...
A judge ruled last week that Rep. Devin Nunes (R-Ca.) could not sue Twitter over accounts that he claims defamed him. Judge John Marshall stated on Friday that social media companies can not be held liable for the content users post. Nunes had argued that Twitter was responsible for tweets made by two parody accounts, “Devin Nunes’ Cow” and “Devin Nunes’ Mom,” as well strategist Liz Mair. The politician claimed that the three users had damaged his reputation and caused him to win his election in 2018 by a smaller margin that he would have otherwise. Nunes alleged that by refusing to remove certain content he deemed offensive, the social media platform had essentially endorsed the accounts’ remarks. Twitter argued in response that federal law known as Section 230 clearly indicates that its company is not liable. Marshall agreed, stating that “the court refuses” to “treat Twitter as the publisher or speaker of the content provided by others based on its allowing or not allowing certain content to be on its internet platform.” While Twitter has effectively been removed from...
On Sunday, James Woods stated on Twitter that he would begin listing all the police officers who had died across the nation in the line of duty since the beginning of 2020. He wrote, “Starting today I’ll be listing police officers who died in the line of duty in 2020. Some will be from deaths seemingly unrelated. A cancer death, however, may have resulted from assisting during the World Trade Center rescue and aftermath, for example.” Starting today I’ll be listing police officers who died in the line of duty in 2020.
