Former President Donald Trump used a Secret Service agent's phone to make a private call his wife, Melania Trump, after allegations about his sexual relationship with porn star Stormy Daniels re-emerged in 2018. The then-president was on a golf course when news of his alleged 2006 one-night stand with with Daniels, whose real name is Stephanie Clifford, hit the headlines again. It first swept the tabloids shortly after the fling, which Trump denies, but re-emerged a year into Trump's presidency after claims he'd paid Daniels hush-money shortly before the 2016 presidential election were shared.    Trump attempted to call the then-first lady using his cell phone, but after she failed to pick up he tried calling her from a Secret Service agent's device. Melania, who is Trump's third wife, reportedly took the second call. A former White House aide, speaking to CNN about Trump's phone habits, claimed the agent was 'not pleased' the president used his phone in that manner. The source also said the president had an 'aversion to anyone listening to his calls' and would often uses devices belonging to a...

At least one House Democrat is refusing to attend a meeting with one of Kamala Harris' top aides after the vice president's new hire was found to have made disparaging comments about undocumented immigrants. Rep. Lou Correa of California told The Hill on Tuesday that he would not join fellow members of the Congressional Hispanic Caucus (CHC) in confronting Harris' new communications director Jamal Simmons face-to-face. It was reported earlier this week that Simmons is meeting with the group on Thursday to hear their concerns about old posts on Twitter that surfaced this month where Simmons called for illegal immigrants to be rounded up by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).  'The deep concern to me is this may show his true disposition when it comes to immigration. That's what my concern is,' Correa said. 'A meeting is not going to change my mind or give me peace of mind one way or the other.'  Correa, who fought hard to include immigration reform in President Joe Biden's $1.75 trillion Build Back Better bill, indicated he was more interested in meaningful change...
OMICRON cases in the province in South Africa where the variant is first thought to have emerged may have peaked, data shows. The figures could be 'good news' for Brits, after Prime Minister Boris Johnson was last night forced to implement Plan B to stop the variant spreading. 2The chart above shows how cases of Omicron in Gauteng province had climbed steadily in November. Cases continued to climb at the beginning of December and then by mid December seemed to have flattened out Plan B means that people have been asked to work from home if they can and that vaccines passports have been introduced at certain venues. Data shows that cases in the Gauteng province in South Africa have increased by around 25 per cent a day since November. In the UK experts have said that infections from Omicron are doubling every two to three days and it was this evening reported that cases have risen by 44 per cent in 24 hours. The UK Health Security Agency (UKHSA) said another 249 cases of the variant had been detected,...
Prince Andrew has gone for another pony ride at Windsor Castle after it emerged he took four flights on Jeffrey Epstein's private plane. The Duke of York, 61, donned a long wax stockman coat as he took his steed out with a woman this morning. Earlier he was pictured in his Range Rover with his security driving past members of the public towards the grounds. It comes after an investigation found flight logs that show the Duke of York flew on Epstein's jet at least four times – and possibly many more. They included flights to and from his private Caribbean island, Little St James, now known as 'paedophile island' because of the horrific abuse that allegedly took place. The revelation raises questions about the Duke of York's judgment and his friendship with Epstein, who took his own life in a New York prison in 2019, and Maxwell. The super-mutant Omicron strain of Covid causing worldwide panic may have evolved in rodents, a scientist has theorised. The mysterious origin of the heavily mutated strain of Covid has puzzled experts since South African scientists alerted the world to is existence last week.  Omicron has 32 mutations on its spike proteins alone, nearly five times more than Delta, and there are concerns its highly divergent nature could make it it both more transmissible and that vaccines will be less effective at preventing infection.  It has also come to light in recent days that Omicron has effectively evolved in the dark, unobserved by scientists, having split off in evolutionary terms from other variants such as Alpha and Delta sometime in the middle of last year. While a popular theory is that Omicron emerged in an immunocompromised patient, possibly with undiagnosed AIDS. This would have given the virus had time to adapt to the patient's immune system resulting in numerous mutations. But Professor Kristian Andersen, an immunologist at the Scripps Research Institute in California, has theorised that the virus that would become...
French far-right media pundit Eric Zemmour has confirmed that he will run for president in next year's election with a dramatic video pledging to 'save France.'  Zemmour, 63, adopted a pose that was clearly based on wartime leader Charles De Gaulle as he sat behind a desk and spoke into an old-fashioned microphone.   'It's no longer the time to reform France, but to save it,' he said, adding that his fellow French citizens 'no longer recognise our country.' Against a Beethoven soundtrack, Zemmour demanded that children stop being subjected to the 'egalitarian experiments of gender theory and Islamic-Leftism.'  And he called on France to reject 'Europe which will never be a nation,' urging his compatriots 'we must regain our sovereignty.'  Theatrics were expected from the married father-of three who has made headlines over the last few months for pointing a rifle at a reporter, sticking his middle finger up at a female heckler, and for a secret lovechild with his 28-year-old PA.  Zemmour, 63, adopted a pose that was clearly based on wartime leader Charles De Gaulle as he sat behind a...

Prince Charles faced mounting pressure to cut ties with his closest aide after extraordinary allegations that he offered to help secure a knighthood for a Saudi tycoon. Michael Fawcett – Charles’s former valet – was forced to step down as chief of the Prince’s Foundation at the weekend amid a string of claims about his conduct while running the charity. It was alleged that Mr Fawcett, 58, had offered to ‘support’ a major Saudi donor to Charles’s charities – Mahfouz Marei Mubarak bin Mahfouz – in his efforts to secure both an honour and British citizenship. Mr Fawcett – at his own suggestion – has agreed to ‘temporarily’ step down from his £95,000-a-year role with the Foundation while an investigation is carried out A letter on headed notepaper made clear that Mr Fawcett was prepared to assist in bumping up the tycoon’s honorary CBE to a knighthood. The husband of Maya Millete has been named a 'person of interest' in the California mom-of-three's disappearance more than six months on from when she was last seen.   The Chula Vista Police Department released a statement Thursday confirming Larry Millete as a person of interest, adding that no further information would be released at this time due to 'the sensitivity of the case and to protect the integrity of the investigation.' Maya, 39, vanished on January 7 from the home in Chula Vista that she shares with her husband and their three children aged 4, 10 and 11. Ken Hoffman confirmed Thursday a 'small number' of the suspects had participated in US military training and education programs while serving in the Colombian military.   Officials have not revealed how many ex-soldiers were trained by the US, their identities or what the training involved.    However, Colombian officials have confirmed at least 13 Colombians accused of being involved in the deadly July 7 raid are former soldiers in the country's military. Billie Eilish has sparked backlash for saying she identifies with Cindy McPhearson from The Boondocks cartoon - a character meant to satirize suburban white girls appropriating black culture - just three weeks after she had to apologize for using a racial slur.   'I think my favorite character honesty would be Cindy from The Boondocks,' she said in the three-year-old interview with Montreality, a clip from which was recently posted on Twitter.  'That's like me, if I did all the things I thought about doing.' Eilish reportedly praised Cindy's bossy attitude and mentioned several times how much she loved that Cindy always stood up to her friends later on in the interview, according to Buzzfeed News. But the character is meant to portray a white girl from the suburbs who uses a 'blaccent,' and having many stereotypically black interests, while ultimately being oblivious to racial issues. Soon after the clip went viral - with more than 2,200 retweets and 3,800 likes - people started to call Eilish, 19, out for relating to the character, who they claim appropriates black culture.   In...
