The Boston Celtics have brought joy to the state throughout these past couple of months. Alongside, the Boston Bruins who recently have been eliminated from the playoffs. However, having a state on a rise has many “Massholes” in a frenzy. Many in Massachusetts tend to support all teams from their area, with that being said, during a pivotal Game 7 in TD Garden many New England Patriots showed up to support.  A few that were in attendance were rookie QB Mac Jones, Patriots owner Robert Kraft, Damien Harris, Kendrick Bourne, Deatrich Wise, and Jerod Mayo, according to Andrew Callahan for the Boston Herald. #Patriots attendance list at Game 7 keeps growing:– Robert Kraft– Mac Jones– Damien Harris– Kendrick Bourne– Deatrich Wise– Jerod Mayo And I'm definitely missing a few. — Andrew Callahan (@_AndrewCallahan) May 15, 2022 ALL the latest Patriots news straight to your inbox! Getty Robert Williams of the Boston Celtics. The Boston Celtics just wrapped up a treacherous series against the Milwaukee Bucks with a Game 7 win on Sunday night. Now, they are set to take on the Miami Heat in the Eastern Conference Finals for the second time in the last three years. Despite their postseason success thus far, Boston has been without starting center Robert Williams for the majority of the playoffs. Williams has only appeared in five of the Celtics’ 12 playoff games, averaging 20.2 minutes per game. However, as Boston gets set to take on the Heat, who finished the regular season with the top record in the East, it’s looking like Williams will be back in action. According to head coach Ime Udoka, the young center is available to play in Game 1 and will have no minutes restriction. “Rob is available just like he was last night. I mentioned he’d be on a needed basis. He’s available, no minute restriction,” Udoka revealed. “You know, I’m always gonna be a little bit cautious with guys...

(Photo by Billie Weiss/Boston Red Sox/Getty Images) Xander Bogaerts headlines the current Boston Red Sox trade talk but the team has a few more notable candidates to shop this summer. Xander Bogaerts is the most talked-about Boston Red Sox trade candidate for a couple of reasons. The team isn’t winning much, he is playing incredibly well, and the two have yet to come to terms on a new contract. Bogaerts is likely going to use the opt-out in his current deal after the season is through which puts him out there for any other team to sign. Bogaerts is hardly the lone trade candidate on the club. In fact, if they don’t...

BOSTON (CBS) — Patrice Bergeron still hasn’t decided if his hockey career will continue. He still needs more time before making such an important life decision. But if he does return, Bergeron said it will be for only one team: The Boston Bruins. READ MORE: You can now order a 3rd round of free at-home COVID tests from the post officeDuring his end-of-season chat with reporters on Monday, Bergeron was asked if he could see himself playing anywhere but Boston. “No,” he said adamantly. “I’ve been here m whole career and it’s a special place for me.” Bergeron has spent all 18 seasons of his NHL career with the Bruins, serving as one of the faces of the franchise and the best all-around player on the ice. There had been some speculation that maybe the Quebec native would want to finish out his playing days for the rival Montreal Canadiens closer to home, but Bergeron ended that speculation on Monday. Longtime Cardinals shortstop Paul De Jong was recently demoted after a disastrous start to the 2022 regular season. The 28-year old was hitting .130 with one home run and an OPS+ of 24 through his first 24 games of the season. Red Sox star Xander Bogaerts applied some much-needed pressure on the Boston franchise to extend him during the season. While the aspect of losing Bogaerts isn’t something Red Sox fans want to entertain right now, this should actually be greeted as a welcomed development. The Sox and Chaim Bloom have remained stagnant for too long on Bogaerts, who has the right to opt out of his contract after this season. While Bogaerts previously set a deadline of Opening Day to reach an agreement, he appears to have backed off from that approach. “I don’t know how this would work. But if they talk to [agent Scott Boras] behind closed doors and it’s something that’s fair, he can come to me.  We’ll see how that goes,” Bogaerts told the Boston Globe’s Pete Abraham. BOSTON (CBS) — The Bruins made their first move of the offseason on Monday. Two days after the team was knocked out of the NHL Playoffs, Boston signed defenseman Jakub Zboril to a two-year contract extension. The deal will have an annual cap hit of $1,137,500, GM Don Sweeney announced Monday. BOSTON (CBS) — When the Red Sox and Xander Bogaerts failed to agree on a contract extension ahead of the season, the shortstop said that he was done negotiating until the winter. He may be changing his tune a bit. Bogaerts’ future in Boston is one of the great unknowns at the moment. He can opt out of his deal at the end of the season, and while he continues to say that he would like to finish out his career with the only team that he’s ever played for, the Red Sox may not be too eager to give him the contract that he deserves. In spring training, the Boston brass essentially offered Bogaerts the deal he can opt out of, with one additional year and $30 million added to the end. Getty Grant Williams, Boston Celtics Buckle your seatbelts! The Boston Celtics are heading to the Eastern Conference finals, where they will face off against the Miami Heat for an opportunity to challenge for an NBA championship. Let’s be fair, we witnessed a slobber-knocker between Boston and the Milwaukee Bucks in the second round of the playoffs, and the series could have gone either way. Yet, the Celtics found a way to defeat the reigning champions in a do-or-die game seven, courtesy of a monster performance from third-year big man Grant Williams. BOSTON (CBS) — It’s only fitting that Celtics-Bucks is coming down to a Game 7. There was some doubt their second-round series would get there after Boston blew Game 5 at home, but the Celtics bounced back with authority in Friday night’s Game 6 in Milwaukee. Now this incredibly evenly matched series will come down to one final game at TD Garden for all the marbles — or at least a trip to the Eastern Conference Finals against the Miami Heat. Both teams are going to leave it all on the floor and both head coaches will do anything and everything they can to get a win. It’s a stressful experience for players and fans, but this is what sports are all about. READ MORE: Jayson Tatum painted his masterpiece in Celtics' Game 6 win over BucksThere is nothing like a Game 7. Getty Jayson Tatum, Boston Celtics The Boston Celtics season is still alive following their game six heroics against the Milwaukee Bucks. Now, Boston faces a do-or-die game seven on their home turf as they bid to make it to the Eastern Conference finals and keep their championship dreams alive. However, Milwaukee has won two of the three postseason games they’ve played in Boston, so nothing is guaranteed at this point. Speaking on an episode of ESPN’s The Countdown following the May 13 game, analyst Stephen A Smith heaped pressure on the Celtics, noting how they can’t lose three games in their own backyard. Play VideoVideo related to stephen a smith sends strong message to celtics ahead of game 72022-05-14T08:17:24-04:00 “I will say this to you, the Bucks won game one in Boston; they won game five in Boston. Getty Jaylen Brown, Boston Celtics From the moment the Boston Celtics lost game five of their second-round playoff matchup against the Milwaukee Bucks, you knew their chances of progressing onto the Conference Finals had taken an enormous blow. Suddenly, the Celtics are in a position where they have to win two consecutive games against the reigning NBA champions; otherwise, their season will come to an abrupt end, and their mid-season resurgence will have been for nothing. Heading into this series, the Celtics were seen as the favorites following their four-game demolition of the Brooklyn Nets and the absence of Khris Middleton from Milwaukee’s rotation. However, Boston has found ways to lose games, with two of their losses coming from self-inflicted implosions while being in a winning position. Those tough losses have swung this series in Milwaukee’s favor, and now, even the most loyal analysts are starting to change allegiances. Getty Jaylen Brown, Boston Celtics As their post-season hangs in the balance, the Boston Celtics are making their way to the Fiserv Forum for game six of their playoff series against the Milwaukee Bucks. Following their May 11 loss, the Celtics are now one game away from elimination and will need to win their next two contests if they wish to progress and face the Miami Heat in the Eastern Conference finals. When a playoff series is tied, game five is often considered the most pivotal meeting of the entire round because whoever tastes victory then gains the momentum moving forward. And according to Nick Wright of Fox Sports, the Celtics’ latest loss has all but sealed their fate, with the analyst expecting Boston to fall short in their bid to win a championship this season. Xander Bogaerts’ fate with the Boston Red Sox has been in question ever since Trevor Story was signed. Should they keep Bogaerts or let him go? Beloved Boston Red Sox shortstop Xander Bogaerts is one of the most well-known players in baseball. He made his MLB debut with the Red Sox in 2013 and has made history with them over the years — starting the most games at shortstop in franchise history since World War II. He’s also won two World Series. He’s arguably one of the best shortstops in Red Sox history. However, the organization is considering the idea of letting him leave. Trevor Story was signed by the Red Sox this year which has made fans question what will happen with Bogaerts. Story is a shortstop, formerly with the Colorado Rockies, but he has been moved to second base with the Red Sox for now. He had never played second base in the major leagues, but he has played it in the minors. He only played second base briefly, so he is much more experienced at shortstop. Story’s struggles bring...
Trevor Story hasn’t always lived up to some fan expectations this year, but Boston Red Sox fans can now be happy that he has finally hit a home run. The Boston Red Sox decided to pay a decent bit of money to Trevor Story in hopes of having a productive, powerful, and generally pretty reliable home run hitting threat on their roster. And, well, that hasn’t exactly played out so far this season. Sure, they got Story, but they haven’t had any home runs out of him. Up until Wednesday evening, that is. Finally, on Wednesday, Story managed to hit his first home run for the Red Sox. For the first time during the 2022 MLB season, Story finally hit a home run. Getty Brad Stevens, Boston Celtics Regardless of whether the Boston Celtics win the NBA championship, they will come away from this season believing they are ahead of schedule. In many ways, that feeling would be right. Under Ime Udoka, the Celtics have flourished into one of the most dominant teams in the NBA, sweeping the Brooklyn Nets in the first round of the playoffs to shock the basketball world. Brad Stevens has also done a fine job by ensuring Udoka has all the tools necessary to continue working towards a period of sustained success. However, once the free agency period rolls around, the Celtics will need to take stock of their roster and decide on what areas could use some additional attention. Would an additional playmaker ease the pressure on Marcus Smart? Do Jaylen Brown and Jayson Tatum need a backup wing to lighten the scoring load? Stevens will have plenty of questions to ponder in the coming weeks and months. "Ricky Rubio, he the GOAT!" Darius Garland hyping up Rubio after he dropped 37 Pts off the...
