SAN FRANCISCO (AP) — Stephen Curry scored 32 points with six 3-pointers and eight rebounds, Kevon Looney had a career-high 21 points and 12 rebounds, and the Golden State Warriors used one of their signature third-quarter flurries to rally past the Dallas Mavericks 126-117 on Friday night for a 2-0 lead in the Western Conference finals. Luka Doncic and the Mavericks led most of the way before the Warriors took their first lead of the night on Otto Porter Jr.’s 3-pointer 18 seconds into the fourth. Porter’s three-point play with 7:21 remaining made it 100-92. Doncic scored 18 of his 42 points in the first quarter — two points shy of his 20-point Game 1 total. His 3-pointer with 13 seconds before halftime put Dallas up 72-58 at the break and gave him 24 points. He even got a Twitter shoutout from Oakland’s own MC Hammer: “Ok young Luka … We see you.” Andrew Wiggins’ 3-pointer with 49 seconds left in the third got Golden State back within 83-81 only for Doncic to answer on a layup moments later. But...
If it wasn’t clear based on social media chatter, the Warriors being back in the NBA’s final four is bringing a lot of attention and eyeballs to the league and its broadcast partners. Turner Sports announced on Thursday that Wednesday’s Game 1 of the Western Conference finals was TNT’s most-watched conference finals game since 2018 — when the Warriors played the Rockets in a seven-game slugfest on TNT. The Warriors’ 112-87 win over the Mavericks averaged 6.5 million viewers, an increase of 21% over last season’s Eastern Conference finals on TNT and a 38% jump from the 2021 Western Conference finals. The telecast had a peak audience of 7.5 million, between the 9:45-10 p.m. window. Golden State will face the Dallas Mavericks, who pulled off a thorough-yet-stunning blowout of the Phoenix Suns, the NBA’s top team, in Game 7 of their semifinal series. Dallas led by as many as 46 points at one point in Game 7, with superstar guard Luka Dončić scoring 35 points and Spencer Dinwiddie adding 30 off the bench in the 123-90 win. Getty Draymond Green, Klay Thompson and Jordan Poole celebrate during a game between the Golden State Warriors and the Utah Jazz. The Golden State Warriors are playing like this is 2016 all over again. Steph Curry has not even started yet, but the Dubs have won by an 18-point average over their first two games against the Denver Nuggets. Much of the Warriors success has to do with the emergence of Jordan Poole. This shouldn’t be a surprise, as Poole has put up some gaudy scoring numbers throughout the season. The difference now is how the third-year phenom has managed to put up 59 points in his first two career postseason games, while having to share the rock with Steph Curry and Klay Thompson. The team started off this year with a bang, but fell off the radar after some of their stars like Draymond Green and Curry went down with injuries. Now with their core healthy, they have been rolling, winning five straight to close the regular season, and not dropping a single game in the entire...

A Jimmy Kimmel Kanye West interview is rumored to be an announcement of a new album after Yeezy dropped a new song during Game 6. Kanye dropped his first new material since 2019’s Jesus Is King during Game 6 of the NBA Finals.
