President Joe Biden on Monday paid tribute to retired cop Aaron Salter, who died trying to stop the gunman who killed 10 at a supermarket shooting in Buffalo. President Joe Biden on Monday paid tribute to retired cop Aaron Salter, who died trying to stop the gunman who killed 10 at a supermarket shooting in Buffalo. 'He gave his life when a gunman shot and killed 10 innocent people in a grocery store in Buffalo on Saturday. He was actually able to shoot the assailant twice but he had on a bulletproof vest. He lost his life in the process,' Biden said at a Medal of Valor event at the White House. Salter was working as a security guard for the Tops Friendly Market in Buffalo, New York, when a gunman shot four people in the parking lot.  Salter shot and struck suspect Payton Gendron, 18, but those bullets had no effect due to body armor the suspect wore, and the gunman returned fire, striking Salter and killing him. Thirteen were shot in the attack and 10 have died in what authorities are called...
Liberal, Democratic Party-aligned strategists, pollsters, and think tank experts spent six months coming up with the “ultra MAGA” label that President Joe Biden has begun to deploy against Republicans ahead of a difficult midterm election. The Washington Post reported Friday: Biden’s attempt to appropriate the “MAGA” brand as a political attack was hardly accidental. It arose from a six-month research project to find the best way to target Republicans, helmed by Biden adviser Anita Dunn and by the Center for American Progress Action Fund, a liberal group. The polling and focus group research by Hart Research and the Global Strategy Group found that “MAGA” was already viewed negatively by voters — more negatively than other phrases like “Trump Republicans.” In battleground areas, more than twice as many voters said they would be less likely to vote for someone called a “MAGA Republican” than would be more likely. The research also found that the description tapped into the broad agreement among voters that the Republican Party had become more extreme and power-hungry in recent years. The Post noted that conservatives had since appropriated the...

by Thomas Catenacci   Half of all U.S. states penned a letter to the Biden administration, arguing against its decision to reverse a Trump-era rule allowing energy firms to transport natural gas via rail. The 25-state coalition said that proposed prohibition of natural gas rail transport would have “devastating effects” on the economy and national security, according to the letter led by Republican Louisiana Attorney General Jeff Landry. The Monday letter was addressed to Pipeline and Hazardous Materials Safety Administration (PHMSA) Acting Administrator Tristan Brown. “Biden’s war on energy is a war on America’s poor and working-class,” Landry said in a statement Monday evening. “It is high time the Biden Administration to put America first. Biden’s environmental virtue-signaling is burdening American families and jeopardizing the safety and security of our homeland.” Natural gas is the largest source of electricity production in the U.S., accounting for about 40% of all generation, according to the Energy Information Administration. The Republican attorneys general’s letter noted, citing Environmental Protection Agency data, that greenhouse gas emissions have decreased 11.7% overall and a whopping 33.1% from electricity generation between 2005-2019....
Ignore the poor offensive line play, and the injury-decimated receiver unit the Miami Dolphins had all last season. All of that’s fixable with better talent, and better coaching — we hope. But don’t overlook the fact that Miami had an anemic rushing attack, one that couldn’t be relied on regularly as a staple of the run-pass-option (RPO) offense. A new head coach, one who is viewed as a run-game specialist, is in control now. Mike McDaniel has hired a solid offensive staff, one that comes with an impressive resume and a track record of success for most of its leaders. So, the hope is that these coaches will be able to get the Dolphins’ offense out of second gear, helping prop up the side of the ball that has held this franchise down like an anchor pins a boat to the bottom of the ocean and become a top 15 unit. If Miami’s defense is decent moving forward, that’s all Tua Tagovailoa should need to prove he’s a quarterback worth building around because of...
