A HOME DESIGN expert warned against five kitchen trends that could leave a room looking cold and greasy. The aesthetic of your kitchen can make or break a home. It's one of the rooms most people spend a considerable amount of time in, cooking or entertaining. How you decorate it, therefore, is crucial. 3Experts say an all-white kitchen is a mistake that can leave it lookin outdatedCredit: Getty Homes and Gardens came up with an expert list of the trends to avoid at all costs, as well as those that are passing fads to ensure your kitchen stays in style for the long haul. All white-kitchens Style gurus say while there is always a place for white in the kitchen, whether through the cabinetry or countertops, going the all-white route is a mistake that could leave your kitchen feeling "soulless and instantly more outdated." "All-white kitchens are too cold and sterile," says North Carolina-based designer Tula Summerford from Design by Tula. To modernize and transform your white kitchen ideas Tula suggests interrupting a cold palette with warm hues, wood, or stone...

As an active skincare ingredient, vitamin C has been lauded as the winner of topical antioxidants thanks to its myriad of anti-aging and complexion-enhancing superpowers for years, if not decades. Whether you’re seeking to refine congested pores, combat dullness, lift sagging skin, or soften fine lines and wrinkles, most dermatologists will recommend incorporating some form of vitamin C in your daytime routine. Plus, not only does vitamin C help reverse the signs of photodamage and aging, but it also functions as a protective barrier, shielding the skin from environmental aggressors like smoke and pollution, which helps provide a line of defense against future damage. There are plenty of highly-praised vitamin C antioxidant serums on the market, but of course, they’re not all created equal. I’ve long been a fan of Skinceutical’s beloved CE Ferulic Serum (like pretty much everyone else on the planet), but I’ve discovered a new cocktail of vitamin C products that’s replaced my go-to as of late. Tula’s newly-launched vitamin C Brightening kit has officially entered the chat. In fact, it’s also led me to cancel...
Years ago, I could get away with all kinds of bad beauty habits like staying up super late, not washing or moisturizing my skin, and eating super greasy, fried food without my twenty-something skin suffering at all. But as I’ve gotten older, my skin just can’t handle the same stresses it once tolerated like a champ. And while I have a good face wash, toner, and moisturizer that I’ve used twice a day for as long as I can remember, I couldn’t help but notice that lately, especially this past winter, my skin was looking extra dull, dry, and tired. No matter what new, of-the-moment products I tried, I wasn’t getting the results I wanted until I started applying Tula’s well-reviewed, insanely popular Triple Vitamin C Serum. For a long time, I didn’t understand the benefit of serums. As someone who likes to keep things simple when it comes to skincare, I thought my three-step routine was all I needed to achieve perfect-10 skin. But as it turns out, my aging, thirty-something skin definitely needed a boost and a chance...
They say your eyes are the window to your soul, and while that may be true, they're definitely the window to revealing how much sleep (or how little, for that matter) you've gotten. Of course, puffiness and undereye circles and bags are largely genetic, but certain lifestyle choices like drinking one too many martinis or enjoying a salty feast of sushi can also be the culprits. Sure, there are plenty of age-old hacks to wake up tired eyes like sticking your face in a bowl of ice, but if you've ever tried this "method" you know it's not ideal (read: painful). Fortunately, there's an easier way to erase undereye discoloration and bring down puffiness without shocking your entire system. Enter Tula's best-selling and cult-favorite eye balms. Tula offers a variety of different eye balms to combat different concerns, but the two best-selling eye balm sticks are the original Cooling and Brightening Eye Balm and the Rose Glow and Get It Cooling and Brightening Eye Balm. Each formula is infused with a cocktail of swell-reducing and line-smoothing ingredients including caffeine,...
TULA, Mexico (AP) — Two days after flooding claimed at least 14 lives north of Mexico’s capital, the streets of Tula remained submerged Thursday as full reservoirs upstream continued releasing more water. Mexican authorities say heavy rains in recent days in central Mexico filled the area’s reservoirs to their capacity forcing water releases that only added to woes downstream in places like Tula. Late Wednesday, Hidalgo Gov. Omar Fayad and other local authorities had urged people in Tula and other vulnerable areas to move quickly to higher ground because more water was on its way from upstream reservoirs. The governor spent Thursday touring affected communities. In Tula the damage was largely to businesses and homes, while in Tepeji del Río, Fayad said most of the destruction was in crop losses. “The families of the Tula region are not alone,” Fayad said via Twitter. “We are focusing our efforts on the people in this emergency caused by a natural phenomenon. The appropriate investigations will be carried out to improve protocols and to avoid that this tragedy reoccurs.” At least 14...
MEXICO CITY (AP) — Flooding set off by heavy rains in central Mexico has left at least 10 people dead in a public hospital in the city of Tula, Hidalgo Gov. Omar Fayad said Tuesday. Officials said that torrential rains in Mexico City and neighboring Mexico State caused the Tula River to jump its banks. Fast-moving water submerged the first floor of businesses and homes in downtown Tula, 60 miles (100 kilometers) north of Mexico City, before dawn Tuesday. Video recorded inside the public hospital in Tula showed knee-deep water as staff frantically tried to move patients. Fayad did not say how the deaths occurred, but local news reports said the flooding knocked out the hospital’s supply of oxygen. Tula Mayor Manuel Hernández Badillo said in a news conference that rescue teams were working in the city. “Today the important thing is saving lives,” Hernández said. MTV Logan Sampedro and Tula 'Big T' Fazakerley The fourth episode of “The Challenge: Spies, Lies and Allies” started with a conversation between Tula “Big T” Fazakerley and Logan Sampedro that hinted at a possible showmance between those two. The returning veteran, who has frequently found herself allied with the rookies instead of the veterans, hasn’t had an on-screen showmance on “The Challenge” yet so fans were excited to see the conversation with “Survivor Spain” star Logan. “I might have a little crush,” Big T starts by saying in her interview. She told Logan that she felt very comfortable speaking with him and it didn’t feel like they were in a game mindset. In his confessional, Logan said he thinks they connect because they like each other’s personalities and it’s “bigger than the physical.” The episode didn’t show more conversations between the two so viewers will have to wait and see if things develop on the show but Logan has already addressed where the two stand now after filming. ARSENAL have been mercilessly ribbed by Spartak Moscow on social media following two dismal season-opening losses in the Prem. And the Russian giants took Twitter to bemoan their 1-1 draw with the Gunners’ namesake in their division whilst taking a dig at the Emirates side.  2Arsenal are searching for their first win of the season in the Prem following losses to Brentford and Chelsea Mikel Arteta’s team endured a tough afternoon against Chelsea in their first home game in front of the club’s fans this term. It was an encounter that saw Romelu Lukaku make his Blues debut following his return to the Prem after a £97.5million switch from Inter Milan.  It did not take long for Lukaku and his team-mates to dominate proceedings with the Belgium goal machine registering his first-ever senior Chelsea goal in the 15th minute.  And Reece James helped Thomas Tuchel’s stars extend their lead shortly after the half-hour mark with the game finishing 2-0 and leaving Arsenal languishing second from bottom. Like Arteta’s side, Spartak suffered an unwanted result when they took on Russian Premier League...
THIS is the moment a two-timing cat returns home with a hilarious note around its neck - after sneaking out for secret roast dinners. Tula, an 11-year-old Siberian cat, was eating her own feed at home - before heading down to the Toby Carvery in Swindon, Wiltshire. 2A two-timing cat was rumbled after eating dinner at home - before making her way to Toby Carvery for a roastCredit: Deadline There, she'd pick up her favourite roast from staff and customers who had become fond of their new favourite local. Owner Nicole Clark only became aware of her moggy's secret meals when Tula returned home with paper wrapped around her collar. The note read: "Does this cat have a home?" On the reverse, it said: "Always at Toby Carvery." And when Nicole went to the eatery, she even found her wayward pet there already. She said she went straight to the restaurant after spotting the note to reassure them the cat had somewhere to live. Chatting to staff, she learned Tula had spent hours badgering workers and customers for food with...
A caller led Clifton police to a pair of pre-dawn car burglars from Passaic, authorities said. Officers responding to the 4 a.m. call from an Athenia Avenue resident stopped Angel Lucero, 22, and Joel Tula, 26 in a car nearby, Detective Lt. Robert Bracken said. They arrested both after finding a “multitude of proceeds” stolen from unlocked vehicles in Clifton and elsewhere, he said. Lucero and Tula, who had prior arrests, were charged with burglary and theft and released pending hearings.
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) — A 27-year-old northern Minnesota man is accused of driving drunk early Sunday morning in South St. Paul with his 1-year-old child unfastened in a car seat. Rafael Tula, of Hibbing, is charged with gross misdemeanor counts of driving while intoxicated and child endangerment, court documents filed in Dakota County show. According to a criminal complaint, authorities in South St. Paul noticed Tula’s car around 2:30 a.m. Sunday swerving and alternating between speeding up and slowing down. Officers also noticed that the car’s registered owner had their license revoked. After officers stopped Tula, they noticed there was a 1-year-old child sleeping in the back of the car. The child was in a car seat, but not buckled in. The car seat was also not fastened to the safety belt. Tula’s car smelled strongly of alcohol, the complaint states. Officers noted that Tula had watery, bloodshot eyes and had trouble pulling his license from his pocket. In a preliminary breath test, he blew a .157, nearly twice the legal limit of 0.08. Officers arrested Tula....
MTV Tula Big T Fazakerley Big Brother star and rookie on The Challenge: Double Agents Amber Borzotra has recently become a divisive figure in the house after she seemed to start putting her Big Brother alliance ahead of her rookie girls’ alliance in the last episode. Amber Martinez and Tula “Big T” Fazakerley spoke about Amber B.’s latest moves in a recap video following the ninth episode and called Amber B. a “compulsive liar.” During the episode recap, the two girls and Amber M.’s cousin Kimmy Gutierrez discussed Amber M. confronting Amber B. and saying, “If there’s one thing I don’t like, it’s fake b****es and I feel like you fall into that category.” The confrontation came about after Amber M. said the Big Brother star lied to her and said she didn’t vote for her when she actually had. Big T said that it’s fine for people to change alliances but, “it becomes hurtful when you start pulling at people’s heartstrings,” and said as an example that Amber B. was telling Amber M. that she cares about...

Modern and small audio recorder: the Tula Mic
But enough about that; how does this thing sound? I spent part of an evening crooning and playing bass badly in my basement — can you tell I miss karaoke nights? — and came away mostly impressed with the Tula as a mobile recorder. Unlike our managing editor Terrence O’Brien, I’ve never really recorded myself playing anything before, so you could probably do without my less-than-professional opinion. Still, on the whole? Not bad at all, though I’m sure not doing the Tula’s Burr Brown op amps justice. To me at least, the Tula makes much more sense as a proper production tool. For one, the Tula also plays nice with TRRS lavalier mics like the one I wear when I shoot the to-camera bits of our review videos. I haven’t been able to justify buying the sort of fancy wireless lav mic we used to use when shooting hands-on videos at briefing sites, but knowing I could run my cheapo lav directly into the Tula and sync with camera footage later is something I’m looking forward to trying in the...

The Russian nurse who wore a transparent gown with nothing but her underwear beneath because she was “too hot” is now on cloud nine with a new side gig – as a TV weather presenter, according to a report. Nadezhda Zhukova, 23, went viral in May when she arrived at her coronavirus ward in Tula wearing the see-through personal protective equipment. She told her bosses at Tula Regional Clinical Hospital that it was “too hot” to wear clothing under the head-to-toe vinyl suit, prompting them to discipline her for her attire – which her male patients had no problem with. But her eye-opening getup and stance opened doors for Zhukova, who was offered a modeling contract by Zasport, a Russian sportswear brand worn by the country’s Olympic athletes. And now she has been offered a spot as weather presenter on her local TV station, though she will continue working as a nurse as she pursues plans to become a doctor, the Daily Mail reported. “It is a big thing for me. Thank you for letting me try,” she said about...
