US Marshals have released surveillance footage from a car wash in Indiana that they believe show runaway murder suspect Casey White. Investigators got a tip that a 2006 Ford F-150 was abandoned at a car wash in Evansville, according to Al.com. The car wash is about 175 mi north of Williamson County, Tennessee, where the orange SUV that Casey and his jailer Vicky White used to get away was discovered on Thursday. Photos from the surveillance camera show a man standing behind the truck in a pink polo shirt, khaki pants and a black baseball cap. Investigators believe the man may be Casey White.  The potential sighting comes after authorities revealed that Vicky was spotted buying men's clothes at a Kohl's department store in the week before she helped Casey break out of jail. She was also seen visiting a sex shop. The search for the pair continues, with authorities offering up to $25,000 for information leading to their capture. Robert McBay, 29, served time in jail with Casey and says the runaway convict is prone to episodes of rage and...
An attorney who used to represent escaped murderer Casey White says his jail guard lover was likely the mastermind behind his prison break. Dale Bryant was the defense attorney for Casey when he was sentenced in 2019 on counts of attempted murder, kidnapping, robbery, burglary and other felonies dating back to 2015. Bryant claims while the 6ft 9in inmate has a lengthy criminal history and escaped from jail before, his most recent getaway - which took place 11 days ago - was 'far too thorough and too far-thinking'. 'That is not Casey's MO,' Bryant told Newsweek on Sunday. 'None of his crimes were planned. They are all short sighted; in the moment crimes.' He added: 'Even his prior escape attempt from the same county jail was spontaneous.' The attorney also noted footage of their escape suggests jail guard Vicky White, who was in a more than two-year relationship with Casey, looks more worrisome than him. 'If you notice in the video of the two leaving the jail, Casey's body language does not look like someone that is hiding something,' Bryant...
Authorities are re-opening an investigation into the mysterious death of Casey White's ex-girlfriend in 2008 as the hunt for the murder suspect and the female jail guard that let him out continues for the seventh day. The Limestone County Sheriff's Office says it will reopen the investigation into the death of Christy Shelton. Casey, 38, was there when Shelton was shot in the chest with a sawed-off shotgun. Her death was ruled a suicide, but her family never believed the story, WAFF reports. Casey has a history of violence with partners, having shot at his ex-girlfriend during a crime spree in which he killed a dog and held her roommates at gunpoint. The 2015 incident culminated in the 6ft 9in 'monster' being sentenced to 75 years in prison on charges including attempted murder. The search for Casey and guard Vicky White, 56, is intensifying as Lauderdale County deputies joined forces with the US Marshals, the Secret Service and other agencies to locate the fugitive pair. The two developed a secret 'special relationship' during phone calls while Casey was being held...

SAN JOSE — The family of the San Quentin prison guard who died last summer from COVID-19 after a botched transfer of infected inmates from another prison filed a federal civil rights lawsuit Tuesday against state prison officials, blaming them for a “culture of callousness” that led to one of the largest outbreaks in the country and 29 deaths. “I want to hold people accountable and responsible, but mainly get justice for him,” said Patricia Polanco, the widow of 55-year-old Sgt. Gilbert Polanco, who died a year ago. Twenty-eight San Quentin inmates also perished after the May 2020 outbreak. The lawsuit comes six months after a scathing report from the state Office of the Inspector General found that the transfer of 122 inmates from a Chino prison by California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation was “deeply flawed.” Not only were inmates not tested for weeks before the transfer, but they were packed onto five buses and not quarantined once they arrived. The infection raced through the antiquated facility, which still uses open-air prison bars to separate cells. Before the transfer,...

German prosecutors on Monday demanded three years in jail for a 93-year-old former Nazi concentration camp guard who they said was 'without a doubt' complicit in the murder of more than 5,000 people during World War II. In what could be one of the last such cases of surviving Nazi guards, Bruno Dey stands accused of complicity in the murder of 5,230 people when he worked at the Stutthof camp near what was then Danzig, now Gdansk in Poland. Dey, who appeared in court in Hamburg in a wheelchair and wearing a black trilby, has denied any guilt for what happened at the camp.
