Former President Donald Trump speaks during the American Freedom Tour in Austin, Texas. When the media publishes the truth about you and you don’t like it, if you’ve got the dough, the next best thing is to produce your own content. And that’s what twice-impeached former President Donald Trump is doing. According to Rolling Stone magazine, the Trump Media and Technology Group (TMTG), which was announced in October, is moving forward. The latest step is a search for creatives to help produce content for the newly launched arm of the company, the TMTG+ streaming service. The site explains that the TMTG is a “Big Tent” platform offering “broad-based entertainment rooted in free speech,” a social media app called Truth Social, and “a wide variety of non-scripted, scripted, and original content.” TMTG is currently valued at $1.7 billion and it hopes to reach 10 million subscribers and billions more in revenue, Rolling Stone reports.   Obviously, Trump is looking for a channel that offers an unfiltered stream of MAGA bullshit. I guess Fox News and One America aren’t Pravda...

Trump is obligated to first post to Truth Social, a new social network he's backing, and can't publish the same content on another social media site for six hours. After that, he can post to "any site to which he has access," according to the filing. The six-hour policy would mostly affect Trump's Twitter use if he's allowed back on the platform under potential owner Elon Musk. Trump is still free to post from a personal account about political messaging, political fundraising or get-out-the-vote efforts on any platform at any time, the filing added, which could give him leeway in case he runs for office in 2024. Jimmy Kimmel has led the liberal freak out over Donald Trump's potential return to Twitter after Elon Musk confirmed the former president would be welcomed back once he completes his $44 billion takeover of the social media platform.  The late-night TV host poked fun at Trump during his opening monologue, calling the 75-year-old an 'infant' as he weighed in on his Twitter ban reversal.  'Speaking of babies, Elon Musk says that if his deal to buy Twitter goes through, he will reverse the ban on our infant former president, Donald Trump,' he joked on Tuesday night before quoting Musk who called the ban 'morally bad and foolish.'  'Oh good! We have the part-time DJ who makes flamethrowers and cars that fart in charge of morality now. The guy who named his kids Roman numerals will make sure they don’t do anything foolish!' he said of the billionaire.  Jimmy Kimmel (pictured) led the liberal freak out after Elon Musk confirmed former President Donald Trump would be allowed back on Twitter. Trump's ban on Twitter later came into question when tech billionaire Elon Musk struck a deal to buy the social media account for about $44 billion. While many of the former president's followers called for Musk to lift his ban, Trump definitively claimed that he would not return to Twitter because he claims it's boring. He added that he would instead use his own social media platform called TRUTH social. "I am not going on Twitter, I am going to stay on TRUTH," Trump told Fox News in April. Donald Trump has made his debut on his Twitter rival Truth Social with a self-deprecating gag about one of his many controversial tweets. The former president wrote: 'I'M BACK! #COVFEFE' in his inaugural post Thursday evening. He accompanied the message with a photograph of himself looking at his phone on an immaculate green croquet lawn outside his Mar-a-Lago country club in West Palm Beach, Florida.   #COVEFE is a lighthearted reference to Trump's 2017 tweet, where he criticized the media coverage of his administration. On May 30, 2017, the then-president wrote on Twitter - which he vowed not to rejoin, despite Elon Musk's $44billion purchase - wrote: 'Despite the constant negative press covfefe.'  The mishap received more than 100,000 likes and retweets each before it was deleted and sparked an internet frenzy.  Trump returned to social media by writing 'I'M BACK #COVFEFE' on his app Truth Social as he posted a picture of him looking dapper in a black suit as he stood on a croquet court outside his pink stucco Mar-A-Lago mansion Now, after more than a year, Trump's social media...
Elon Musk continues to take a freewheeling approach to tweeting, and is not letting a non-disparagement clause in his deal to buy Twitter stop him from taking jabs at the company's top executives. In a series of tweets on Wednesday, he accused the social media giant of censoring free speech, took shots at its lawyer Vijaya Gadde and bashed Donald Trump's rival service Truth Social for its 'terrible name'. 'Truth Social (terrible name) exists because Twitter censored free speech,' Musk wrote in a tweet, adding, 'Should be called Trumpet instead!' He noted the Truth Social app is currently beating Twitter and TikTok in Apple's App Store, sharing rankings of the most-downloaded free apps. Meanwhile, Twitter employees are freaking out in internal chatrooms over Musk's $44billion deal to acquire the firm, messages seen by the New York Post show.  Elon Musk continues to take a freewheeling approach to tweeting, and is not letting a non-disparagement clause in his deal to buy Twitter stop him from insulting top execs 'We're all going through the five stages of grief in cycles and everyone's nerves...
Donald Trump is a diehard Truther – that is to say, he is sticking to his own social media platform, Truth Social, and says even though Elon Musk is buying Twitter, he’s won’t re-join the popular platform he was suspended from after January 2021 insurrection, even if allowed back. Instead, Trump says he’s going to start using Truth Social, which launched two months ago. The platform has been plagued by technical glitches and low sign-ups. Praising Musk as a “good man,” Trump said he’s glad the world’s richest person bought Twitter but claims his platform is not a competitor. “I think it is good. We want liberty and justice and fairness in our country, and the more we can have open, the better,” Trump said, according to Fox News. “But no, I don’t view that as a competition for what I am doing,” the one-term former president declared. “This is a platform for my voice. TRUTH is a platform for my voice and for my supporters,” Trump said. “But I want everybody to come over to TRUTH—conservatives, liberals, whatever.” Over...
Alex Wong/Getty Images It’s been a full month and President Donald Trump is not posting to his newly-unveiled social media platform. TRUTH Social launched on Feb. 21, and some users, such as journalist Greg Price, complained about sitting in a queue to access their accounts. Welp, I finally made it out of the queue. Former President Donald Trump is reportedly upset with the trajectory his new social media app Truth Social is headed, despite not even posting anything there himself yet Donald Trump is livid about the 'lackluster' performance of his new social media venture Truth Social less than two weeks after it rolled out, a new report suggested on Saturday. The former president had been overheard angrily swearing over the phone and having heated conversations surrounding his glitch-prone app.  'What the f*** is going on?' Trump has said at least once, people who heard him told the Daily Beast. The report describes the ex-commander-in-chief complaining about 'why more people aren’t using it—why the app isn’t swiftly dominating the competition.' He's also reportedly unhappy with how the rollout is being covered. Multiple media outlets have reported on technical glitches that have plagued the app since its launch. Truth Social and its parent company, Trump Media & Technology Group, are the former president's highest-profile business venture since he left office. TMTG raised a billion dollars from undisclosed investors upon going public late last year. And...
As Donald Trump weighs another run for the White House, the twice-impeached former president has made a point of embarking on new business opportunities to increase his wealth and maintain his personal brand. But unfortunately for Trump, one of his most heavily promoted ventures—Truth Social—is currently looking less like a success and more like an embarrassing dud. Even for a soft launch, Truth Social’s launch has been particularly soft. And after a botched rollout where most prospective users were simply added to a wait list, Trump has been grumbling about the app behind the scenes, according to two sources familiar with the matter, even as he’s tried to put on a brave face publicly. In recent weeks, sources have heard the former president on the phone swearing gratuitously and asking things like, “What the fuck is going on” with Truth Social. He’s repeatedly groused about the negative press and the less-than-stellar optics of the rollout, these sources said. And he’s demanded to know why more people aren’t using it—why the app isn’t swiftly dominating the competition. During his presidency...
The processor Truth Social, developed by former President Donald Trump’s new media company, was available for download on the Apple App Store on Monday, the BBC reported. The site, which was heavily influenced by Twitter, faced technical issues after its launch, making it inaccessible to subscribers for hours. Others had difficulty logging in, as the app already has 150,000 subscribers. “Because of great demand, we put you on our waiting list,” read a message to some of those trying to access the site, “We love you.” Advertising Apps describes itself as “America’s ‘big tent’ social media platform that promotes open, free and honest global dialogue without discrimination of political ideology.” + Build your way on social networks + Conservative politicians and commentators have repeatedly criticized Twitter and other large technology companies for viewing it as the most extreme moderation of right-wing perspectives. In response, a wave of right-wing sites, including Parlor, Ketter and YouTube rival Rumble, have become popular. Instead of tweets, Truth Social refers to personal posts as “facts” that will be displayed to users in...
Former President Donald Trump brushed off the bumpy launch to his new social media network Truth Social and waved to adoring crowds outside his Palm Beach golf club on Monday.  Dan Scavino, Trump's social media director who hasn't been banished from Twitter, tweeted, 'Happening now outside of Trump International Golf Club in the GREAT state of FLORIDA! AWESOME!! Happy President’s Day.' The video shows Trump waving and giving a fist bump to his fans, who were lined up behind fencing across the street.  'We can't wait until you're back in office,' one man is heard saying.  Trump's social media venture launched late last night on Apple's app store, marking the former president's return to social media after he was banned from Twitter, Facebook and YouTube last year.  His return comes as the U.S. marks Presidents Day.
Donald Trump, expecting to make lots of money off his upstart social media venture Truth Social, has turned down offers to work with other platforms such as Gettr and Parler already on the rise in a flood of right-wing media sites. Trump is simply too greedy to cut in anyone else on what he's sure will be a rich payoff from the conspiracy-laden haven he’s itching to launch. There's just one problem: It's a Trump venture and, therefore, already flailing, per The Washington Post. Sure, Trump had a knack for sending off bogus tweets that lit his MAGA cultists on fire. That was his daily, if not hourly, ritual for four full years at the White House. That was governance to Trump. But actually starting up a company that supposedly does something other than bloviate is proving to be a touch more difficult of a task for ol' Trump. For months, that failure has reduced twitchy-finger Trump to releasing nothing but a string of disgruntled statements that limp along in the mediascape until they're soon forgotten. Twitter has permanently suspended Trump following...

NEW YORK (AP) — Nine months after being expelled from social media for his role in inciting the Jan. 6 Capitol insurrection, former President Donald Trump said Wednesday he’s launching a new media company with its own social media platform. Trump says his goal in launching the Trump Media & Technology Group and its “Truth Social” app is to create a rival to the Big Tech companies that have shut him out and denied him the megaphone that was paramount to his national rise. “We live in a world where the Taliban has a huge presence on Twitter, yet your favorite American President has been silenced,” he said in a statement. “This is unacceptable.” Conservative voices actually do well on traditional social media. On Wednesday, half of Facebook’s 10 top performing link posts were from conservative media, commentators or politicians, according to a daily list compiled by a New York Times technology columnist and an internet studies professor using Facebook’s own data. Trump has spoken about launching his own social media site ever since he was barred from Twitter...
Alex Wong/Getty Images Donald Trump is setting up his own social network and streaming service. Trump Media & Technology Group, which the world found out is a thing on Wednesday night, announced it is entering into a merger and will “create a rival to liberal media consortium and fight back against the ‘Big Tech’ companies.” Trump Media said it is merging with Digital World Acquisition Corp., thereby “providing for a business combination that will result in Trump Media & Technology Group becoming a publicly listed company.” The press release read in part: President Donald J. Trump, the Chairman of TMTG, stated, “I created TRUTH Social and TMTG to stand up to the tyranny of Big Tech. We live in a world where the Taliban has a huge presence on Twitter, yet your favorite American President has been silenced. This is unacceptable. I am excited to send out my first TRUTH on TRUTH Social very soon. TMTG was founded with a mission to give a voice to all. I’m excited to soon begin sharing my thoughts on TRUTH Social and to...
2020 has been a strange year what with coronavirus outbreak bringing nearly everything to a standstill and also being the dark year that has taken away some of most favourite celebrities from us.
