    CHICAGO (WLS) -- Chicago police released photos of a car believed to be involved in a deadly drive-by shooting last week in Albany Park.Michael Conrad, 37, was sitting in a white Chrysler just after 7 p.m. last Friday in the 4400-block of North Hamlin Avenue when another vehicle drove up, and someone inside opened fire, Chicago police said.Conrad was shot in the back.     CHICAGO (WLS) -- A 68-year-old woman was injured in Albany Park after being caught in the crossfire of a shooting, Chicago police said.Police said shortly before 1 p.m. in the 4500-block of Albany Park, the woman was walking when she was struck in the arm after hearing gunfire.A car driving south in the same block was also struck by gunfire, police said, but the two occupants were not injured.It was not immediately clear who was shooting, how many people or groups of people were shooting, and whether the gunfire was coming from cars or on the street. Police have not released any further details.The woman was taken to Illinois Masonic Hospital where she is stable, police said.No one is currently in custody. A Chicago police investigation is ongoing.

    ALBANY PARK — A 38-year-old man was fatally shot in Albany Park on Monday afternoon, as the neighborhood continues to struggle with a surge in shootings. The shooting occurred in the 4800 block of North Bernard, according to preliminary information from police. Few details were available about what happened. Chicago Police only said the man was shot in the leg around 3:45 p.m. and was transported to Mount Sinai Hospital in critical condition. He died of his injuries, police said. No one is in custody. The shooting prompted a significant police response with helicopters periodically hovering in the area. Officers roped off the street and sidewalk near the middle of the block. A uniformed officer and a detective could be seen pointing out shell casings on the sidewalk in front of two-flat homes. Nearby, another group of officers were investigating an SUV that appeared abandoned and had crashed on Ainslie Street, just behind Hibbard Elementary School.     CHICAGO (CBS) — Chicago Police say gang disputes have been fueling shootings lately in the Northwest Side neighborhoods of Albany Park and Ravenswood Manor. Residents have been asking for a plan to curb the gang violence, but as CBS 2’s Charlie De Mar reported Wednesday night, the shootings have continued right on. There was another shooting Wednesday night that left a man dead in Albany Park. Even before that, residents expressed they were fed up in a conversation this week about staffing numbers and strategy. But command staff at the Albany Park (17th) District did not have all those answers, and there have been several shootings this week alone. The latest shooting happened at Lawrence and Monticello avenues. A man was shot multiple times in the body at 6:19 p.m., police said. In the 3600 block of West Lawrence Avenue, a man was shot multiple times in the body at 6:19 p.m., police said. The victim was rushed to Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead, police said. Just to the east in the 3500 block of West Lawrence Avenue, five people were shot at 10:25 p.m. Tuesday – including two teenagers. Police said the victims were standing on the sidewalk when someone fired shots from a white Nissan sedan. The victims in the earlier incident ranged in age from 15 to 37 years old. A 17-year old and a 15-year-old were left in critical condition and a 21-year-old man was in serious condition. No one was in custody late Wednesday in either incident.
    ALBANY PARK — Five people were shot in a drive-by shooting Tuesday night in Albany Park, police said. At about 10:25 p.m., the two teenage boys and three adults were standing in a group on the sidewalk in the 3500 block of West Lawrence Avenue when someone in a white Nissan drove up and fired shots, police said. A 15-year-old boy was shot in his left leg and abdomen and taken to Swedish Covenant Hospital in critical condition. A 17-year-old boy was taken to Illinois Masonic Hospital in critical condition. A 21-year-old woman was shot in her right hand and was taken to Swedish Covenant Hospital in serious condition. A 27-year-old man suffered a graze wound to the chest and was taken to Swedish Covenant Hospital. A 37-year-old man was shot in his right leg and taken to St. Francis Hospital, police said. No one is in custody. Area Five detectives are investigating.
