The fight began to turn in Krylov’s favor once he got the top mount on the ground, landing some big ground-and-pound strikes that nearly finished Craig. But, Craig was able to survive through the barrage and quickly shift the momentum. After securing a triangle choke from the bottom position, Craig was able to force Krylov to tap to finish the come-from-behind victory in Round 1. LAS VEGAS (AP) — Tyson Fury got up from two fourth-round knockdowns and stopped Deontay Wilder in the 11th round Saturday night, retaining his WBC title in a thrilling conclusion to a superlative heavyweight trilogy. Fury (31-0-1, 22 KOs) finished Wilder for the second straight time in their trilogy, but only after a wild back-and-forth bout featuring five combined knockdowns. Wilder was knocked down in the third round and appeared to be on his way out, but he improbably rallied to knock down Fury twice in the final minutes of the fourth round. Wilder (42-2-1) absorbed enormous punishment and appeared to be physically drained for much of the bout, but the veteran champion showed his toughness while still throwing power shots on weary legs. Fury knocked down Wilder again with a concussive right hand midway through the 10th, but Wilder stunned Fury in the final seconds. Fury finally finished it in the 11th, sending Wilder face-first to the canvas with a chopping right hand fired from high in the air. Fury climbed onto the ropes in weary celebration before a...

The last exhibition bout of Mike Tyson gained mammoth attention from combat sports fans all over the world. Ever since that fight, Tyson expressed his desire to re-enter the ring for another exhibition bout. It seems that ‘The Baddest Man On The Planet’ already has an opponent waiting on either side for him- none other than his former rival, Evander Holyfield. ‘The Real Deal’ was in a chat with Brian Custer when he shed light on this much debatable topic. “I would say yes! I think it’s close, I think it’s something that we both want to do and I think it can happen,” said Holyfield. UFC: Francis Ngannou growing frustrated with another lengthy layoff By: Daniel Cunningham October 21, 2020 ShareTweetFlipRedditBack in May, Francis Ngannou (15-3) made a massive statement at UFC 249. Taking on the undefeated Jairzinho Rozenstruik, Ngannou won by knockout in a mere 20 seconds to solidify is top contender status in the heavyweight division. For Ngannou, it was his fourth straight victory. Not just that, it was his forth straight first round knockout none of which have gone more than 71 seconds. Simply put, Ngannou is the most terrifying force in the UFC right now. However, he hasn’t been able to get back in the cage since then. Ngannou tried to lobby for a fight with the UFC‘s pound for pound best, Jon Jones, however, that fight fell apart due to financial negotiations between Jones and the UFC.  UFC 252 rolled around in August and Stipe Miocic defeated Daniel Cormier to retain his heavyweight title. However, Miocic is said to be out until March of next year with some injuries that he...

The two former Olympic medalists have sparred multiple times in the past while being a part of Team GB’s amateur program. Joshua won the Gold in the 2012 Olympics in Beijing while Joe Joyce won a Silver in the next Olympics in Rio. “There’ve been many bruising sessions over the years,” Joshua’s promoter Eddie Hearn said. “Joe has been around for many years on the amateur scene. He captioned the video: "Slowly but surely." Jones had been in line to face heavy-hitter Francis Ngannou, 33, in his heavyweight debut this year. But chaos erupted after UFC president Dana White said the pound-for-pound legend wanted £25million to make the step up. Jones flat out refuted those claims, instead insisting he wanted an advance on his regular £4m pay cheque. 3 The American then refused to fight again until his pay row with the UFC had been resolved. But 37-year-old Stipe Miocic's trilogy win over Jones' great rival...
Stipe Miocic unimpressed with Jon Jones moving to heavyweight ‘he’s just another guy’ The MMA world almost unraveled when former light heavyweight champion Jon Jones announced he’d be stepping back from the sport. Fortunately for us, he quickly backtracked and instead announced he be making his highly anticipated jump to the heavyweight division. But one man who wasn’t all that impressed with the potential title challenger is the champion — Stipe Miocic. “Cool. Awesome. I don’t care. He’s just another guy,” Miocic told FanSided. “I mean I know he’s one of the best. He is, but listen, he’s just another guy.” Many believe that when Miocic returns to the Octagon to defend his title yet again, it’s highly likely to be Jones, despite him not having fought at heavyweight yet. Another option would be Francis Ngannou. If you ask Miocic who he thinks gets the shot next, he just laughs. “That’s the worst question to ask me because I’ll fight anyone,” Miocic said. “I don’t care. It’s my job. I’m not going to pick and choose. Whoever stands in front...
