THIS is the insane moment snowmobilers narrowly escaped a Utah avalanche as powder quickly tumbled down the mountain and buried a man. A group of snowmobilers made it out alive after a gigantic avalanche was triggered in Utah's Uinta Mountains on Saturday. 6A group of snowmobilers made it out alive after a gigantic avalanche in Utah's Uinta MountainsCredit: Miles Penrose 6One of the five snowmobilers were able to video an enormous wave of snow making its way down the mountainCredit: Miles Penrose 6The snow is seen making its way abruptly down the mountainCredit: Miles Penrose One of the five snowmobilers were able to video an enormous wave of snow making its way down the mountain. Miles Penrose, who considers himself lucky to be alive, wrote about the harrowing incident on Facebook. "My brother and I were playing on the side of a hill in the a tree area where have have ridden 30-40 times in years past.. (Right side of the video). "We had 3 other friends and one younger below in the flats. As I finished recording my brother...
Before the Big Bang brought about the universe we know, there was another universe and black holes could be proof of its existence, claims Nobel prize winner. Sir Roger Penrose won the Nobel Prize for Physics for a paper that used Albert Einstein's Theory of Relativity to prove black holes exist and explain how they form.   He says there is evidence of 'unexplained spots' of electromagnetic radiation dotted across the sky that are 'the size of a full Moon' that he calls Hawking Points.  Penrose says these warm spots are remnants of a previous universe that existed before the Big Bang and could be a clue to our future universe. The points are named after Professor Stephen Hawking who theorised Black holes leak radiation and over a long period of time they will evaporate to nothing. Penrose says these points are proof of the 'conformal cyclic cosmology' theory of the universe that suggests the Big Bang merely marks the end of one universe and the start of another universe - also known as an 'aeon'. Our universe isn’t special. Around about 13.7 billion years ago, the Big Bang kicked-off life as we know it. But the universe it created isn’t the first — and won’t be the last, according to 2020 Nobel Prize recipient Sir Roger Penrose. The physicist accepted the award this week for discovering landmark evidence of Albert Einstein’s general theory of relativity and proof that black holes exist. Among his breakthroughs, Penrose’s “conformal cyclic cosmology” (CCC) theory, coined in 2005, posits that our universe is one in billions of years of universes — in a cycle of death and rebirth that hinges on black holes. “I claim that there is observation of Hawking radiation. The Big Bang was not the beginning. There was something before the Big Bang and that something is what we will have in our future,” Sir Roger told The Telegraph. “We have a universe that expands and expands, and all mass decays away, and in this crazy theory of mine, that remote future becomes the Big Bang of another aeon,” he said. His theory gained traction in 2010...
STOCKHOLM (Reuters) - Scientists Roger Penrose, Reinhard Genzel and Andrea Ghez won the 2020 Nobel Prize for Physics for their discoveries about one of the most exotic phenomena in the universe, the black hole, the award-giving body said on Tuesday. "The discoveries of this year's Laureates have broken new ground in the study of compact and supermassive objects," David Haviland, chair of the Nobel Committee for Physics, said on awarding the 10 million Swedish crown ($1.1 million) prize.($1 = 8.9108 Swedish crowns) (Reporting by Niklas Pollard; additional reporting by Johannes Hellstrom, Supantha Mukherjee, Colm Fulton and Anna Ringstrom; Editing by Alex Richardson) Copyright 2020 Thomson Reuters.

A Kentucky judge was removed from the bench after being accused of coercion, threesomes, and drinking in the courthouse. Kenton County Family Court Judge Dawn Gentry was unanimously found guilty on 10 of 12 charges by the Kentucky Judicial Conduct Commission. Gentry had been suspended in December after the accusations against her surfaced. The Kentucky legislature planned on impeaching Gentry, but coronavirus restrictions prevented its investigation from going forward, prompting the misconduct commission to take over the case. "This case does not involve one or two isolated occurrences, but instead involves a pattern of misconduct and repeated exercise of extremely poor judgment — on and off the Bench — by the Respondent that continued for over a year, including after Respondent was informed that a complaint was filed with the Commission against her," the commission wrote in its decision. The commission found that Gentry had coerced state-funded attorneys to donate and support her reelection campaign or risk being forced out of their jobs. Gentry sent an email to several state-funded attorneys reminding them that they had "volunteered and or...
Kenton County Judge Dawn Gentry (pictured) was removed from the bench Monday after the Kentucky Judicial Conduct Commission found her guilty of 10 charges of misconduct An embattled Kentucky judge accused of having sex in her courthouse and letting staff drink alcohol at the office has been removed from the bench.  The Kentucky Judicial Conduct Commission (KJCC) on Monday voted unanimously to remove Kenton County Family Court Judge Dawn Gentry after she was found guilty of 10 out of 12 misconduct charges brought against her in January.   A wild four day misconduct hearing saw witnesses testify about how Gentry engaged in inappropriate sexual behavior, allowed her staff to store and consume alcohol in court offices and hired people because she was involved in relationships with them.  The judge was also accused of giving preferential treatment to attorneys if they appeased her sexual demands and threatening to rule against those who rejected her advances.  Gentry's attorney, Jeff Lawson, called the decision to remove his client from the bench 'anti-democratic' and vowed to appeal.  'What we're looking at now is an...
A SUSPENDED Kentucky judge who is accused of having a threesome with fellow staffers was only horsing around, her secretary testified in court this week. Judge Dawn Gentry allegedly hired her boyfriend, Stephen Penrose, to have a threesome with her secretary Laura Aubrey. 3Judge Dawn Gentry is accused of having a threesome with fellow staffers and allowed her employees to drink on the jobCredit: Facebook / Judge Dawn Gentry public official Gentry was hit with a dozen charges by the state’s Judicial Conduct Commission related to the Animal House antics in which she allegedly allowed staffers to get drunk on the job, all while abusing her power to win re-election. The charges accuse the Kenton County Family judge, who has been suspended with pay, of using sex, coercion and retaliation as tools in her judgeship. Gentry also allegedly tried to seduce another member of the panel, attorney Katherine Schulz, into having a second threesome. On Wednesday a sobbing Aubrey stood on the stand and assured the courtroom that everything was a prank saying, “It has haunted me.” 3Gentry was hit...
Audeze has a new gaming headset called the Penrose, which will cost $299.99 when it is released in September, but the company is knocking $50 off if you preorder it before then. Audeze is making two different versions. The first has blue outlining the ear cups and is compatible with the PS5, PS4, Windows 10, and macOS. The other model has green detailing and works with Microsoft’s consoles, the Xbox Series X and the current Xbox One lineup, as well as Windows PC. Despite that there’s a separate model for Xbox, an Audeze spokesperson told me that the headphones are exactly the same; it’s the included dongle that’s different. One supports Microsoft’s wireless protocol, whereas the other does not. Either dongle will work when plugged into the Nintendo Switch dock. Audeze says that its two Penrose headphone models are the same, but the dongles are different.Image: Audeze Dongle and color aside, both of these models are a match in terms of features and ports.
