Friday on FNC’s “Fox & Friends,” Rep. Kat Cammack (R-FL) weighed in on the baby formula shortage in the United States after she was sent pictures of stocked shelves at the U.S.-Mexico border. The first photo is from this morning at the Ursula Processing Center at the U.S. border. Shelves and pallets packed with baby formula. The second is from a shelf right here at home. She asserted that “this is exactly what America last looks like.” “I was … appalled,” Cammack outlined. “It was earlier in the week I had received a text message from several different border agents sending me pictures and videos of stocked warehouses, pallets of baby formula. These agents themselves have families, and they have family members that can’t get this baby formula in the stores in Texas,...
A foreign journalist challenged White House press secretary Jen Psaki Thursday to explain whether “America is back,” given the Biden administration’s many foreign policy failures. Biden has repeatedly used the phrase “America is back” to claim success in foreign policy, based on the partisan claim that President Donald Trump had withdrawn from the world, despite his diplomatic successes and the lack of war during his tenure. Psaki cited Biden’s “engagements” with other governments and his work in “rebuilding our relationships” with allies, which were allegedly “frayed” by the prior administration. Transcript via the White House: Q And one more, Jen. Besides the crisis in Ukraine, this week alone, ISIS launched the biggest attack in Syria in years; beheaded a police officer in Iraq — in a video again. The U.N. chief said that Afghanistan is “hanging by a thread.” People are starving and freezing after the United States left the country. So is this what American leadership or “America back” look like? Can you say this is a winning foreign policy? MS. PSAKI: There was a lot wrapped up in...
"Mayweather just demonstrated more courage than the overwhelming majority of Irving's NBA peers," said Whitlock. "They're afraid to publicly support a peer who is taking a courageous stand. They don't want to be on the wrong side of a Twitter or Facebook or one of those algorithm lynch mobs." Next, Whitlock talked about Boston Celtics center Enes Kanter, who publicly called out prominent NBA sponsor Nike for their hypocrisy on China's human rights abuses. In a video posted on his social media accounts, Kanter said, "Dear Nike, your company says that you're making a positive impact in our communities, and that is true. Yes, you are. Here, in the United States, Nike stands with Black Lives Matter, Nike stands with Stop Asian Hate, Nike stands with the Latino community, and Nike stands with the LGBTQ community. And Nike remains vocal about injustice here in America." "But when it comes to China, Nike remains silent," he added. "You do not address police brutality in China. You do not speak about discrimination in the LGBTQ...

Tucker Carlson mocked his CNN rival Don Lemon for having a black face cookie jar in his $4.3 million Hamptons home. Carlson took aim at CNN host Don Lemon Monday evening, accusing him of hypocrisy after recent comments in which he called America racist, and in particular for having the in the offensive ornament visible in his Sag Harbor home.   He said: 'You've heard from the White House and the President himself that white supremacy is a lurking threat and you might not see it but it's always there like Russian spies, white supremacists, in the dark of night and the most surprising form.  'We're not calling it to be a white supremacist here but you have to ask yourself - and we're putting it on the screen now. What is this? The symbol of hate? Symbol of hate posing as a cookie jar doing in Don Lemon's kitchen?  'You see that? That right there, ladies and gentlemen, is a white supremacist QAnon cookie jar. We are not calling for the Department of Justice to look more deeply into this and...
When a person chooses to embrace an ideology grounded in race, the main goal is power over another group of human beings. Racial ideologies always claim to be motivated by a higher good; this self-flattering illusion only serves to hide the immorality of their acts. The only real thing here is power.  Those were the thoughts in my head as I reflected upon the White Lives Matter rally that I had the misfortune of attending in Huntington Beach two weeks ago. When this perfect day for the beach had ended, all that was left in the streets was the residue of racial hate. In the hours prior, many Americans shouted profanities and ideological cliches at one another with no genuine attempts to find common ground. Instead, they left behind cardboard signs with scrawled social justice messages on the sandy sidewalks as they returned to the comfort of their homes with their ideological hatreds renewed. The reason why I drove down the coast from Los Angeles to Huntington Beach was my desire to learn what kind of people embraced White Lives Matter. Were...
The recent resurgence of the crisis at our southern border and the coronavirus pandemic that has made its way to every corner of this world have made one thing clear: We must recalibrate U.S. engagement in Latin America and recommit to bolstering our economic alliances across the region.  Beijing has been working feverishly to buy off our neighbors in Latin America through its Belt and Road Initiative—and it’s no secret: partnering with Beijing always comes with strings attached. Over the past decade, Latin American countries have outsourced much of their manufacturing to China. While Latin American currencies increased in value because of the China commodities boom, many of these same countries chose to buy relatively cheaper Chinese goods, leading to less demand for, and a drying up of their own manufacturing base. The secondary effect? Unemployment rates and an over-dependence on Chinese manufacturing.  SALVADORAN PRESIDENT TELLS TUCKER: MASS IMMIGRATION 'NOT PROFITABLE,' 'FEEDING ON DEPENDENCY' We saw in our own country the consequences of offshoring our medical manufacturing to China when the coronavirus hit and we lacked medical capacity. Unfortunately, Latin American...

(CNN)Collective trauma catches you off guard.Witnessing thousands of overwhelmingly White domestic terrorists who supported President Donald Trump storm the US Capitol on Wednesday, it felt like I was reliving America's most painful past -- moments I've experienced and echoes of those of my ancestors. Roxanne JonesFor many Black Americans, myself included, it evoked a recurring nightmare. So many of us have felt that this nation has been teetering on the brink of chaos for a long time. We knew there would be a reckoning. As I watched the siege of the Capitol building, I recalled the George Floyd protests in Lafayette Park near the White House in June, where heavily armed law enforcement set off explosives and fired gas on peacefully gathered citizens of all races -- some of them even on their knees with their hands up or lying flat on the ground. Photo after photo of that day, shows protesters being beaten, arrested and dispersed by police.Read MoreThose people did not storm the Capitol or crash through police barriers. (CNN)So this is what it's like to have a president again. This is what it's like to have people of passion and principle in office again. Jill FilipovicThis is what it's like to have a woman, finally, in the executive branch — to feel the universe of what's possible expand. On Saturday night, four days after the Election Day that seemed to go on forever, Kamala Harris and Joe Biden gave their victory speeches. The themes weren't exactly groundbreaking, but after four years of dangerous divisiveness, bizarre lies, and utter insanity, a president who actually acts like a statesman — even a sane, rational, decent adult human — feels like a tremendous relief. Biden said he will be a president "who seeks not to divide, but unify. Who doesn't see red and blue states, but a United States."Can Joe Biden clean up the mess? It's been four long years since we've had a president who believes he represents all of us, and wants to serve all of us. After those four years in the abyss, normalcy is back. You wouldn't...
Sports journalist Jason Whitlock slammed the NBA’s continued business relationship with China despite the communist country’s documented human rights abuses and argued it helps President Trump’s campaign. “China is their No. 1 market that the NBA is interested in. America is not the NBA’s priority,” Whitlock said on Tucker Carlson’s Fox News program Tuesday night. “China is. And that’s why, Tucker, I’m not very political at all. I’m just not. But with President Trump’s America First agenda, this is what he’s talking about. American companies.” Whitlock continued: “The NBA being hijacked by foreign influence. This is what is happening to our country. I’m so glad it’s being exposed in the NBA. Because it’s an opportunity to educate the average American sports fan or whatever, so you can finally understand what this foreign influence is doing to our country. They have turned a patriotic cultural event into an anti-American protest in the NBA and to some degree, the NFL. We’ve got to put a stop to this.” Whitlock was responding to a Megyn Kelly interview with Dallas Mavericks owner Mark...

A World War II veteran in Torrington, Connecticut, is giving lessons about patriotism to anyone who will listen. Ninety-five-year-old John Mastrocola takes his American flag and sits in a lawn chair on his sidewalk every morning at 8 a.m., according to Fox 61. “I am one of the very few World War II veterans left, so before I leave I want them to remember John ‘never surrender’ Mastrocola,'” he told the outlet. The U.S. Navy veteran waves the flag at passersby for several hours each day because not enough people respect the flag or the country, he said. “This is what I fought for. Once you disrespect the flag, the country goes down the tubes,” Mastrocola explained. The veteran was awarded the SAR Flag Certificate by the Connecticut Society of the Sons of the American Revolution on July 2, according to the society’s Facebook page: “Weather permitting, John can be found sitting alongside the busy street outside his home waving the American Flag. Most motorists passing by wave and toot their horns to show their patriotic appreciation,” the post read. The...
As near as I can tell it began in 1995, when Republicans won control of the House of Representatives for the first time in 40 years and captured a Senate majority. By “it” I mean the accusation that Republicans and especially conservatives (not always the same) are “divisive.” One reads and hears this from every media outlet and Democrats in Congress. President Trump is dividing America. Talk radio is divisive. The right-wing is undermining our “unity.” NEWT GINGRICH: WHY TRUMP'S MOUNT RUSHMORE ADDRESS MAY HAVE BEEN HIS MOST IMPORTANT YET What is really meant by the divisive slur is that conservatives decided not to take it anymore. They are pushing back and the biggest push-backer of all is the president. VideoOnly the latest example: The president last Saturday gave what was mostly a Fourth of July patriotic speech in South Dakota. He reminded us of what used to be widely accepted as traditional American principles. Predictable media reaction was summarized by a Wall Street Journal editorial. -- The president was accused of “stok(ing) a culture war” (Los Angeles Times) delivering...
Getty What is included in the vacation tax credit? In May, the Trump administration stated they are considering an “Explore America” tax credit that would incentivize tourism in the United States in light of the economic distress caused by the coronavirus pandemic. What exactly is this vacation credit and what does it entail? The “Explore America” tax credit would allot up to $4,000 per household in vacation expenses spent in the U.S. at hotels, theme parks, restaurants, and other tourism-related businesses through the end of 2021, according to Forbes. The credit could cover up to 50% of a household’s total vacation expenses and would be capped at $4,000 per household. The intent of this tax credit would be to alleviate economic distress within the U.S. tourism industry, which has been hit hard by the coronavirus pandemic. The U.S. Tourism Industry Has Been Hit Hard by COVID-19According to AS.com, the tourism industry has been hit particularly hard by the pandemic– in fact, it accounted for almost 40% of the 20.7 million jobs lost in the U.S. in April. Speaking with Fox News’ Mark Levin on “Life, Liberty and Levin”on Sunday, civil rights veteran Shelby Steele, the author of “White Guilt: How Blacks and Whites Together Destroyed the Promise of the Civil Rights Era” and “Shame: How America’s Past Sins Have Polarized Our Country,” ripped  of the claim that America is plagued by “systemic racism.” He stated, “That’s a corruption; it’s a corruption because the truth of the matter is, blacks have never been less oppressed than they are today. Opportunity is around every corner.” Levin prompted, “You see what’s taking place in cities, mostly Democrat, one-party cities, mostly Democrat one-party states, and yet you see the response from the national Democrats: Biden, Schumer and Pelosi who barely acknowledge the rioting and the looting that’s taking place. You see the media that report that most of this is peaceful, and you see the allegation: ‘systemic racism.’ Is this a civil rights movement? Who’s leading this civil rights movement and exactly what is desired out of this civil rights movement? That’s a lot, so I want to throw it to...
London (CNN)Remnants of the Berlin Wall in Germany still stand as a reminder that freedoms have always been hard won. Today, part of the wall has been painted over with a mural of George Floyd and the words "I can't breathe," another reminder of how quickly freedoms can be taken away. The harrowing video of Floyd, an unarmed black American, meeting his death as police officer Derek Chauvin knelt on his neck for more than eight minutes has sent shockwaves around the world, mobilizing protesters across Europe and Africa, and as far away as Australia and New Zealand. But beyond the death of yet another black American at the hands of police, US President Donald Trump's response to it has further infuriated people and raised an important question: Is the US still the world's moral guardian? This week, at least, the answer is a resounding No. A mural of George Floyd painted by the artist Eme Freethinker on a wall at Mauerpark in Berlin on May 30."Sickened," "shocked and appalled," "horror and consternation" -- these are words we're used to hearing from...
When Alveda King reminded me that Martin Luther King Jr. and his fellow leaders brought their Bibles when they marched for our civil rights in the ’60s, the light turned on. The root cause of our current issues in America is much bigger than the evils of police brutality; we have allowed a widespread progressive culture to take hold that has abandoned the fear of God. That culture caused Minnesota leaders to ignore the actions of a rogue cop for over a decade. That, in turn, led to a police officer's actions, caught on video, which resulted in the death of an innocent man in broad daylight. BISHOP T.D. JAKES: RACE AND POLICING – CHURCH LEADERS MUST DRIVE NATIONAL CONVERSATION, ACTION PLAN Now, this same evil is causing some of America’s most admirable influencers to support and justify looting and rioting. It’s shameful.More from OpinionTucker Carlson: Our leaders have dithered and lied about the riots as the nation goes up in flamesIndiana AG Hill: End the rioting and America can move forward on racial progressMichael Levin: George Floyd's death sickens me, so do riots.
