Kendall Jenner sparked a flurry of memes and light-hearted jokes on Thursday, as fans reacted online to the bizarre way in which she performed the ordinary task of slicing up a cucumber. The 26-year-old supermodel hasn't made much of an appearance on The Kardashians show so far, and after last night's episode she may have wished to have kept it that way. In a scene filmed at her mother Kris Jenner's home in Calabasas, fans lost their mind after watching her cut up the vegetable in the kitchen in a strange manner, as her momager looked on in confusion.  Slice: While checking out the Kardashian-Jenner matriarch's brand new house, she started making herself a snack... revealing that she doesn't know how to slice a cucumber properly 'Kendall Jenner not knowing how to cut a cumber and Kris proceeding to call for the chef is hilarious to me,' one fan wrote on Twitter, while another added: 'She probably had to cut her own cucumber 3 times in her life.' Previous trainer Mark Breland was sacked in February and replaced by Scott four months later, with Wilder describing the latter as a 'genius'. Just eight months after opening a casual Chowder House next door, Scott’s Seafood restaurant of San Jose has expanded with a second eatery just half a mile away. The Scott’s Chowder House near San Pedro Square opens to diners this week with clam chowder, lobster bisque, seafood gumbo — and some new culinary inspiration. Noted seafood chef Laurent Manrique of San Francisco has partnered with Scott’s owner Steve Mayer and executive chef Sammy Reyes on this venture. Manrique headed the kitchen at Campton Place, then held the executive chef position at Aqua when that restaurant was awarded two Michelin stars in 2007 and 2008. He currently is the co-owner of the French bistro Cafe de la Presse. Mayer, who started working with Scott’s in 1980 before becoming the San Jose restaurant’s owner, says Reyes and Manrique give him the team he needs to grow the fast-casual side of the business. Next up will be a Scott’s Chowder House on Grant Avenue in San Francisco, followed by a restaurant in Palo Alto. The Dallas Mavericks have found a rhythm and are on a four-game winning streak at the moment. While the entire team should be credited for stepping up, Luka Doncic deserves special praise for everything he’s been doing this season. Former Maverick Dennis Scott feels the same way too!  Doncic was regarded as a special talent ever since his rookie season in the NBA. He averaged 21.2 points, 7.8 rebounds, and 6.0 assists in the 2018/19 season and the numbers have only increased over the years.  As for the current season, Luka Doncic is the fifth top scorer in the NBA. He averages 28.6 PPG and has particularly been impressive in the last few games.  “We always talk about our great players in our league. They make everyone better around them. That’s why he’s come into the league in the short couple of years and has become special,” Scott hailed Doncic recently.  “There’s no way you give someone of that caliber two or three drills to get to the paint without collapsing and getting the ball out of his hands,” he...

In July, as federal troops were confronting demonstrators in Portland, Oregon, longtime 9News meteorologist Marty Coniglio tweeted a photo that compared the action to Nazi Germany. A fixture on the channel's popular morning show, he was off the air the next day...for good. This week, Coniglio explained why he did what he did in a column for Westword, which starts with this: "Better to be a good American than a good employee. Distilled to its most elemental expression, that is the reason why I blew up a 35-year career in broadcast media to add my voice to the alarms sounding about the current state of our Republic." You can read Marty Coniglio's complete piece here (and see the Tweet below). Thousands of people did, and posted more than a hundred comments on the Westword Facebook page, most applauding the longtime TV personality and wishing him the best. Senator Tim Scott (R-SC) insisted Donald Trump “misspoke” while addressing white supremacists during his first 2020 debate with former Vice President Joe Biden. In the aftermath of the debate, Trump is facing broad criticism for how Fox News’ Chris Wallace asked him to denounce racist groups, which amounted to tepid condemnation from Trump as he told the Proud Boys to “stand back and stand by.” As Scott met with Trump’s Supreme Court nominee, Amy Coney Barrett, on Wednesday, he was asked if he had any concerns about this. “I think he misspoke in response to Chris Wallace’s comment,” Scott answered. “He was asking Chris what he wanted to say, I think he misspoke. I think he should correct it. If he doesn’t correct it, I guess he didn’t misspeak.” The debate ended about 12 hours ago, and Trump has yet to issue a statement clarifying his comments on the stage. In its competition with WFAN, ESPN New York has a new lineup, sliced up all day that adds big names, but crushes the continuity it had built in recent years that has helped its afternoon show become No. 1 in the market. ESPN New York will add Mike Greenberg and Max Kellerman to its daily programming in the middle of this month, but, like when Mike Francesa returned to WFAN after his faux retirement, it now has too many hosts on-air and too many shows, which makes little radio sense in the long run. The merry-go-round has 98.7 FM taking ESPN’s new national morning show of Keyshawn Johnson, Jay Williams and Zubin Mehenti from 6 a.m-9 a.m., forgoing its final hour. Rick DiPietro, Chris Canty and Dave Rothenberg will move up their time slot to 9 a.m.-11 a.m., losing an hour. They will be followed by Bart Scott and Alan Hahn, who will be on from 11 a.m.-1 p.m., up two hours from their old slot. For the second time, Scott has been involved in the joys of the...
