A novelist who wrote an essay entitled How To Murder Your Husband before allegedly murdering her own husband suggested she was too senile to remember being at the murder scene around the time her spouse was killed. Nancy Crampton Brophy, 71, made the bizarre assertion at a court in Portland, Oregon, Monday when asked about a photo of her driving her car around the time her late husband Daniel Brophy was murdered in 2018. Brophy, who was 68 at the time, agreed that it looked just like her in the car, but insists she couldn't remember being there. She then added: 'You know what they say, old age isn't for sissies. 'I turn 65, I'm starting to lose my eyesight, I'm looking at this thinking "Oh man, I'm starting to lose my mind. How can this have happened and me not remember this" ..  'Even now, my mind kind of goes blank with the horror of it.' Daniel Brophy, a chef and teacher, was shot dead at the Oregon Culinary Institute in 2018. His widow has insisted he fell victim...
A Denver man will die in jail after murdering his wife when she confronted him about an affair, then staging her death to look like an accident.   On Tuesday, after three hours of deliberation, a jury found Robert Feldman, 59, guilty of first-degree murder in the 2015 death of his wife, and mother of his two children, Stacy Feldman. A judge then instantly gave Feldman - who used his wife's $750,000 life insurance money to pay for his defense -  the mandatory sentence of life in prison without the possibility of parole. The cheating spouse and killer had strangled his wife to death in the shower and then staged her death to look like a slip and fall.  Prosecutors said he killed his wife house after she confronted him about an extramarital affair.   Robert Feldman, pictured left in his mugshot and, right, in court Wednesday, has been convicted of murdering his wife and making it look like an accident  Stacy Feldman was the mother of two children. The victim's mother, Dorothy Malman said: 'If you really loved your children, you wouldn't have...

In an interview from Pittsburgh Saturday, Jimmy's sister, Katya Hill, called her brother's relationship with Irina a 'beautiful love story, but unfortunately it has a tragic ending'. 'Certainly, my brother sacrificed his life for her,' Katya said, according to the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review. He had ventured into the city with a friend in search of buses intended help residents flee but allegedly turned back when he saw 1,000 people in line for the service. A Canadian woman who almost died last year when a meteorite crashed through her bedroom ceiling while she was sleeping says she has no plans of letting go of the space rock - and says she even feels protective of the space object.  In October Ruth Hamilton of Golden, British Columbia woke up to the sound of a crash and dust on her face shortly before midnight.  Now months after the very unlucky event, Hamilton said she has gotten back to 'normal'- patching up the hole in her ceiling and leaving her bed in the same spot. She says she considers herself lucky and that she has suffered no post-traumatic stress, but instead she is more grateful for life.  'The experience has made me want to be more generous to people while I’m still alive,' she told the Guardian.   Since her near death experience was published in her local newspaper, Hamilton says she has been inundated with request to purchase the meteorite.    Ruth Hamilton (pictured) said she feels protective of the meteorite that crashed into her bedroom and doesn't want to...

The investigators on the scene concluded it was an accident. Several insurance companies also investigated and agreed.  'Now, more than five years later, the government is seeking to manufacture a case against this well-respected and law abiding dentist. Dr. Rudolph...
Bridget Moynahan said she had no comment on the rape allegations against her Sex and the City costar Chris Noth, insisting that she doesn't 'know anything about' it so it would be 'inappropriate' for her to comment. But the 50-year-old actress, who reprised her role as Mr. Big's ex-wife Natasha Naginsky in HBO Max's And Just Like That, did say she was fine with his character's death in the new season. 'I thought it was okay. It made sense,' she told Elle. Last week, Noth, 67, was accused of rape by two women, who both shared details of their alleged assaults with The Hollywood Reporter — with one of the women saying she was just 22 when Noth, then 49, attacked her and left her needing stitches.  The report led another woman to come forward and accuse Noth of groping her, while actress Zoe Lister-Jones recalled behavior that made her describe him as a 'predator.' Something was off about the memorial service for the anonymous anthropology professor who’d died of COVID-19. For one, only four people showed up. The facilitator of the service, BethAnn McLaughlin, co-founder of the support network MeTooSTEM, had recently been accused of harassment herself. When Michael Eisen, a genetics professor at UC Berkeley, tried to search for information about the anthropologist online, he couldn’t find any. Her distinguishing characteristic on Twitter was that she really, really seemed to love McLaughlin. That made sense, in retrospect, because McLaughlin had fabricated her whole cloth. According to a report in The New York Times, since 2016, she’d been posting about sexual harassment in the science community using the Twitter handle @Sciencing_Bi, which she passed off as a Native American professor who’d “fled the south because of their oppression of queer folk.” McLaughlin is white. She constructed a person of color to guard herself against criticism from actual people of color, who were beginning to come forward with worrying complaints about her leadership. Then, on July 31st, McLaughlin took the grift even further. In a...
