    A central Pennsylvania driver was apparently making his car "catch air" before a crash that killed his 18-year-old back-seat passenger, PennLive reports. Isaac V. Shoff, 20, of Wrightsville, was going as fast as 90 mph in a 40 mph zone and flying over hills before he lost control and crashed, killing Hannah Tome, the outlet says citing court papers and York County officials. Tome was ejected from the vehicle that had crashed near Yorkana Road south of Valley Acres Road in Hellam Township around 2:50 a.m., the county coroner said. She was taken to Wellspan York Hospital, where she was pronounced dead at 4:37 a.m., Gay said. Meanwhile, a now finalized GoFundMe launched by Patricia Lehr for Tome's mother, Debra, had raised upward of $5,700 as of Tuesday, May 3. Shoff was arraigned Monday, May 2 on charges of vehicular homicide, reckless endangerment, and other related offenses in the April 2021 crash, according to court records and York County Coroner Pamela L.     A 17-year-old boy killed in a car crash last week in Maryland was on his way to school, loved ones said on a GoFundMe for his family. More than $5,600 had been raised on the campaign launched in memory of Christopher Sosa as of Sunday, May 1, four days after the Accokeek crash in Brandywine. Sosa crossed the center line to pass a slower vehicle while traveling north on Accokeek Road, police said. He then lost control of his vehicle and crashed after an unmarked deputy with the Prince George's County Sheriff's Office activated his lights to observe the traffic violation, county police said. Both Sosa and his passenger were taken to a local hospital, the passenger with non-life-threatening injuries, according to police. Sosa died Wednesday night.  The crash remains under investigation.     Washington Football Team safety Deshazor Everett crashed his sports car, killing his female passenger night after slamming into a tree in Virginia Thursday night. Everett, 29, was driving a 2010 Nissan GT-R, which has a top speed of 193 mph, along with his passenger, 29-year-old Olivia S. Peters of Las Vegas, around 9:15 pm in Loudoun County when he crashed, according to TMZ. Peters was taken to a local hospital, where she was pronounced dead.     A 22-year-old man from Central Jersey has been charged with vehicular homicide in an alcohol-related crash that allegedly killed a passenger in his pickup truck, authorities said. A GoFundMe page has been created to help pay for the funeral expenses of the 22-year-old passenger who died as a result of the crash. More than $16,750 had been raised as of Tuesday morning.  The fatal crash occurred about 4:35 a.m. on Sept. 19 near Major Road in South Brunswick A joint investigation found  that Antonio Ferlita, 22, of Marlboro was driving a 2002 Ford F-350 on Major Road when he allegedly left his lane, overturned the pickup truck and struck a tree, according to Middlesex County Prosecutor Yolanda Ciccone and South Brunswick Police Chief Raymond Hayducka.     A motorcycle crash left a 30-year-old father of two boys dead and a passenger seriously hurt in Monmouth County, authorities said. Garrett "Gary" Dlin of Matawan, collided with another vehicle around 1:30 p.m. at Thompson and Central avenues in the Leonardo section of Middletown, police said. Dlin's passenger, who was riding on the back of the motorcycle, was airlifted to Jersey Shore University Medical Center, initial reports say. The 31-year-old Middletown passenger's injuries were not considered life-threatening and she was reported in stable condition on Wednesday. Dlin, of Leonardo, attended Middletown High School North.     OAKLAND — Two people have been arrested and charged with murdering a 19-year-old Brentwood woman in a case where police say the defendants shot at one another from separate cars. And according to police records, both of the accused men told investigators that the other guy shot first. Police records say the shooting was captured on video and that both parties “exchanged gunfire” after the driver of one car pointed a gun at the other driver. The charges stem from the Nov. 6 killing of 19-year-old Madalyn Sandoval, who was shot at 3:36 a.m. while she was in a Honda Accord in the 1800 block of Independence Way near San Antonio Park in Oakland, police said at the time. Police say 26-year-old Willie Samuels was identified as the driver of the accord. Shortly before the shooting, police say a Ford F250 pulled up next to the Honda and the two drivers began talking.     A 20-year-old man from Union City was driving impaired last fall when he crashed on the New Jersey Turnpike in Mansfield, killing a 21-year-old passenger in his vehicle, authorities said. The driver and two friends were returning from a trip to South Philadelphia where they bought cheesesteaks, Burlington County Prosecutor Scott Coffina said in a statement.  Johnalex Grullon, of 10th Street was charged on Thursday with vehicular homicide, assault by auto and possession of a controlled dangerous substance, Coffina said.  Grullon was to appear in Superior Court in Mount Holly on Thursday, Coffina said. The case will then be prepared for presentation to a grand jury for possible indictment, he said.     KANSAS CITY, Mo. (AP) — Two people were killed and a third person was critically inured early Saturday when a car crashed into a Kansas City building. Police said in a news release that a witness reported seeing a Ford Mustang and another vehicle speed past around 2 a.m. before the driver of the Mustang lost control. The Mustang then went off the road and into the building. The driver and a passenger in the back seat were pronounced dead at the scene.     A young driver was killed when he lost control of his SUV and smashed into two parked cars in the Bronx, police said. Jeramiah Hamilton, 21, and an unidentified front-seat passenger were headed northbound on Crotona Avenue around 7:50 p.m. Friday in a 2005 Hyundai SUV when Hamilton swerved right and hit the other vehicles, authorities said. Police found the SUV flipped over, resting on the driver’s side near the Fairmount Place intersection. Hamilton was discovered unconscious and with severe head trauma, police said. An ambulance took him to St. Barnabas Hospital, where he was pronounced dead. His 23-year-old passenger was uninjured, according to authorities.
    A 21-year-old Oak Ridge man was charged in crash that killed his passenger last April, authorities said. Matthew Pulis was behind the wheel of a 1973 Chevrolet Nova that struck a tree on Berkshire Valley Road near mile marker 4.4 on April 25, at approximately 7:25 a.m., Morris County Prosecutor Fredric M. Knapp said in a joint release with local police. Pulis was taken to Morristown Medical Center while his 21-year-old passenger was pronounced dead at the scene, authorities previously said. Pulis was served a summons-complaint of third degree liability vehicular homicide, with a court appearance scheduled for July 29. Members of the Jefferson Township Police Department, the Morris County Sheriff’s Office Crime Scene Investigation Unit, and the Morris County Prosecutor’s Office Major Crimes Unit contributed to this investigation.     A female passenger was killed when a car crashed into a tree on the Northern State Parkway. It happened on Friday, June 19 at about 8 p.m. on the westbound west side near Exit 42, in Huntington.  William Wade, 57, of Hempstead, was driving a 2005 Honda Accord when he failed to negotiate a curve, lost control and struck a tree, state police said.  The passenger, Tacorra Moss, 21, of Queens, was ejected from the vehicle. She was transported to Good Samaritan Hospital where she succumbed to her injuries, police said.  The driver was transported to Southside Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. He was issued an appearance ticket for first-degree aggravated unlicensed operation, a Class E felony, along with other traffic tickets.     LOS ALTOS HILL – A man in his 30s was killed in a rollover crash on Interstate 280 in Los Altos Hills on Friday afternoon, according to the California Highway Patrol. The crash was reported north of El Monte Road about 4:50 p.m., said CHP Officer Art Montiel. Montiel said a man in his 30s was driving what appeared to be a 2002 Ford F-150 in the far left southbound lane when he heard a loud noise and lost control. The pickup truck veered onto the right-hand shoulder and rolled several times, ejecting a passenger. The passenger, also a man in his 30s, was not wearing a seat belt and died of his injuries at a hospital, Montiel said. Montiel said the driver was wearing a seat belt and suffered only minor injuries in the crash. “Saved by the belt,” Montiel said. Alcohol and drugs are not suspected as factors in the crash, which remains under investigation.     The identities have been released for the driver killed and the passenger seriously injured in a single-vehicle crash on Long Island. The crash took place in Nassau County around 2:45 p.m., Wednesday, June 3, on the Wantagh Parkway near Exit W6 in the Town of Hempstead. The driver, Carlos Arancibia, 61, of Sound Beach, was driving a 1991 Mitsubishi 3000 when he lost control of the vehicle and exited the roadway continuing into the brush and striking a tree on the driver side door, state police said. Arancibia succumbed to his injuries at the scene, according to police. The passenger, Junior Torres, 20, of Westbury, was injured and transported to Nassau University Medical Center.
