IF your iPhone is constantly running out of juice, a rogue app might be to blame.
Thankfully there's an easy way to find out what's going wrong.1You can easily uncover apps using a lot of powerCredit: Apple / The Sun
Apps can put a serious drain on your iPhone battery life, so deleting the most power-hungry ones can seriously boost your life-per-charge.
Inside your smartphone are tiny computer chips that let it run the camera, watch a video, and everything else.
The more difficult the task (or badly designed the app), the harder processors have to work – draining more juice from your battery.
Some tasks happen in the background, like tracking your location for Google Maps, or checking with Facebook for new notifications.Read more on iPhoneGOING, GONE! You don't see these tasks happen, but they're still draining your battery life. How to uncover greedy iPhone apps
Your iPhone has a built-in Apple tool that lets you uncover exactly which apps are draining your battery life.

Next, tap on the 'Last 10 Days' option, which reveals battery usage for different apps from the past week-and-a-half.
If you scroll down, you can see the apps that have used the majority of your battery life, in percentage form.
So if an app has 20% next to it, that means it hoovered up a fifth of all battery life used in the past 10 days.
You can also toggle it to show the listed items by activity – keeping them ordered by battery usage.
So if you've spent very little time on an app but it's high on the list for usage, that means it's a battery killer.
This section also splits up the time that the app was running in the background.
Watch out for apps that use lots of battery and rack up lots of background usage time – they're particularly bad for your battery life.
You can delete any apps that are causing problems, or you can turn Low Power Mode on at the top.
Low Power Mode will temporarily reduce background activity on your iPhone, until you can fully charge the handset.Battery check
Of course, it's entirely possible that your iPhone's maximum battery capacity has fallen.
In the Battery section of your device, you can see your maximum capacity.
This tells you the exact percentage of charge your iPhone battery holds, compared to when it was new.
For people with battery life woes, the percentage is important.
A battery is considered "worn" if it's below 80%, which means it's time to upgrade your battery.
You'll typically reach this point after doing 500 full charges – which will take most users less than two years.Read More on The SunHOW BARE YOU? Model sparks storm as she walks down street in £500 Gaultier naked dress
If you're still in warranty, you can claim a battery swap for free at the Apple Store. Everyone else will have to pay a fee.
It's $79/£79 for a battery replacement, which is significantly cheaper than buying a brand new iPhone.

Andy Dick released from jail after sexual battery arrest
More On: andy dick Andy Dick arrested for felony sexual battery on livestream Andy Dick arrested for allegedly hitting boyfriend with liquor bottle Andy Dick and fiancée Elisa Jordana break up after his assault arrest Andy Dick claims his leg was broken in brawl with ex-lover
Andy Dick posted bail Thursday night after he was arrested on suspicion of felony sexual battery against an adult male YouTuber.
A spokesperson for Orange County District Attorney’s Office confirmed to Page Six Friday that the comedian’s bail was set at $25,000, but said he only had to pay 10 percent of the total.
Dick, 56, has not yet been formally charged with a crime as the DA’s office has requested that the Orange County Sheriff’s Department investigate the felony battery claims further.
There is an Aug. 10 court date scheduled for the “Andy Dick Show” star, but if the DA’s Office decides not to pursue charges after the investigation, he will no longer be required to attend and the case will be dismissed.
Dick announced on social media that he had been released by posting videos on his Instagram Stories from what appeared to be a hotel room.
He was watching MTV2, which happened to be showing a film he starred in, “Road Trip.”Dick in his hotel watching himself on “Road Trip.”Instagram
Dick appeared in the 2000 comedy alongside Fred Ward, who died last weekend at age 79. His cause of death has not been released.
Dick concluded his Instagram Stories by telling his followers, “Love you, guys. I hope everybody is doing OK.”
Less than 48 hours earlier, the “Employee of the Month” actor had been captured on a livestream asking someone for his “blow.”
The video — posted on a YouTube channel titled “Captain Content RV” — also captured Dick’s arrest and events leading up to it.Officers surrounding the RV that Dick lived ahead of his arrest.Captain Contents RV/YouTube
Sgt. Scott Steinle of the Orange County Sheriff’s Department told Page Six they arrested “Funny People” actor based on “information that was given to them” following an onsite investigation.
The public information officer also confirmed to us that the alleged victim was in the care of the Special Victims Unit. They did not disclose his name.
However, the livestream appeared to identify a streamer named “JJ” as the alleged victim.
He could be heard asking Dick at one point, “Why did you assault me in my sleep?” to which the actor responded, “I never assaulted you in your sleep. Can you leave me alone?”
Dick or his rep have not returned requests for comment on the allegations.Filed under andy dick , celebrity arrests , celebrity crimes , sexual assault , 5/13/22
