(CNN)Andy Parker, whose daughter Alison, a TV reporter, was fatally shot during a live broadcast in 2015, announced Thursday that he's running for Congress.
"In 2015, my 24-year-old daughter, Alison Parker, was shot and killed on live television. I had a choice to retreat into my grief or honor Alison's life through action. Hocus Pocus sequel: release date, cast
THE 1993 Disney cult favorite Hocus Pocus is getting the sequel treatment - with all three stars set to magically return.
Sarah Jessica Parker confirmed the good news in an Instagram post on May 20, 2021.

The highly anticipated sequel will be available to stream on Disney+ this fall.
Anne Fletcher will direct the sequel after Adam Shankman withdrew due to scheduling conflicts, according to Variety.
“Now more than ever, people need to laugh,” Fletcher told the outlet.

Najimy joked that "the people have spoken: I smell children, again."
Midler added: "It's been 300 years but we're back!"
The three stars play witches who were executed in the 17th century and brought back to life by a teenage boy on Halloween.
A plot for the sequel has yet to be revealed, however, IMDb described it as:
"Three young women accidentally bring back the Sanderson Sisters to modern-day Salem and must figure out how to stop the child-hungry witches from wreaking havoc on the world."
The original film also featured Thora Birch, Omri Katz, Vinessa Shaw, and many others.

"I don’t think any of us who were making it at the time thought Hocus Pocus would have such a long life," Parker told EW in 2018.
"People tell me all the time they grew up watching it, and that they still watch it. I think it’s wonderful."
The movie has resonated for decades even though the box office results and reactions from critics were not encouraging.

"It’s just a fun movie that just takes you away and there’s just magic there."
